Quad-core Nokia WP8 handset seen on GFXBench

Almost two weeks after Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 400, the first quad-core SoC that supports both Android and Windows Phone 8 platforms, a mysterious Nokia handset running on Windows Phone 8 was seen on GFX Benchmark sporting a quad-core processor.

Just to set things straight, the test was actually meant to measure the Adreno 305 GPU’s performance, but it just so happen that it was placed inside an unknown Nokia smartphone which ultimately made tech enthusiasts curious about it.

However, the benchmark result didn’t reveal much about the mystery handset apart from the 720p resolution of its screen and that it runs on Windows Phone 8. It’s a bummer, I know, but if this handset does exist, we’re sure to hear more about it in the next coming weeks.

As far as the result is concerned though, it’s not really something that one would write about (results can be found on the source link below). But to be fair, the chipset was fairly new so Qualcomm may still be polishing a few things before it’s all said and done.
