Samsung files for a DLNA certification for GT-N5110

Of what seems to be an early preparation for their next year’s lineup, the South Korean tech giant has filed for a DLNA certification for a device dubbed as the GT-N5110. From the looks of things, it seems that Samsung is looking to add another Galaxy Note to their portfolio.

The rumor about this device being a Galaxy Note originated from the fact that it shares the same model number pattern as the Notes before it (GT-N7000 Note 5.3, GT-N8000 Note 10.1 and GT7100 Note II). Other sites have speculated that Samsung is looking to bridge the gap between their 5-inch and 10-inch offerings by adding 7 or 8-inch tablet to the product line. Although it does sound viable, we have a different take on this guessing game.

Galaxy Note

In our opinion, the fact that the device has a lower number suggests that it may be a smaller Galaxy Note rather than a bigger one. It’s similar to what Samsung did with SGS3 (i9300) when they release the S3 Mini (i8190). If you think about it, it does make sense for Samsung to make a smaller version of the Galaxy Note (maybe around the 4.3-4.8” vicinity) since not everyone’s digging the large 5-inch display of their current offering.

Not much is known about the alleged device other than its model number so everything is still pretty much up in the air at this time. But expect that we’ll give you more inside scoop about the “GT-N5110” as soon as we got it.

It’s actually a Galaxy Note 7 to directly compete with the iPad mini and Google Nexus 7.

maybe a 5-inch phablet will be announced. 5.3 was the first one, and it looks big. Maybe a full HD 5-inch phablet to compete with the on going war on that division. A 5incher phablet with full HD reso.

A dual-sim, albeit low powered, note? Or a small screened (and also low powered) Note Mini. This is getting confusing.

Mawawalan ng identity ang Galaxy Note as a hybrid device.

If they make it a “mini” AGAIN (like what they’ve done to the S3, magmumukhang Galaxy S3 lang yan na may stylus).

Another ‘meh’ device from Samsung. Ang dami-daming nilalabas eh!

Yung pinaka identity naman ng galaxy note ay yung s-pen, the note and note 2 are phablets, the note 10.1 is the tablet, and the N5110 is probably the phone of the note family

I like having a wide variety of choices… But yea… This is getting ridiculus XD masyado nang madami nilalabas ang samsung @-@

    I agree, I think it’s a smaller note

But I actually prefer the 5 – 5.5″ phablets XD it might sound weird to many, but I love the large screen on a phone, but 6″ and above seems inconvinient (yes, the current notes are just the right size for me)

Anyway, the only thing that could force me to change phones right now is if samsung announces a 5.5″ exynos 5 processor, 3 gig of ram, 1080p screen and 4000Mah battery galaxy note 3 LOL

A 4.5 inch Note! 720p display, dual core exynos at 1.5 ghz, hd front camera & 5mp rear camera, android 4.2, stylus plus S-pen app …
