We got this Olevia Box a few days before my trip to Europe so I wasn’t able to test it extensively until only recently. This companion box plugs into your HDTV to make it work like those expensive Smart TVs. Big difference is that this one runs on a customized Android platform.

Sony Xperia S Review

So the Sony and Ericsson affair has finally ended and the mobile tech world is waiting for Sony to reveal its pure blood offspring the way they would for the next pope. What Sony has released from its labs is far from anything that resembles a PlayStation-loving teenager. Carrying a 4.3” HD screen under a piano black glass that is mounted on a poly-carbonate black-matte body, they have sent out a man in an Armani suit. 55-inch OLED TV from LG is 4mm thin!

First time I ever saw an OLED TV was back in March 2010 when we did a tour of LG factories in South Korea. That was just a 15-inch prototype though but this one that is being shown by LG at CES 2012 is 55-inch big.

Sony-Ericsson Xperia Arc S Review

The Sony-Ericsson Xperia Arc S did not deviate much from the original Arc except for the bump in processor speed (and the additional colored variant) so it’s not really a huge improvement, in my opinion. Mede8er MED500X2 Media Player Review

We’ve had a good month or two using the media player from Mede8er, the MED500X2. It handily replaced all my other media players at home (Apple TV, HDX 1000 and Popcorn Hour) and not really missing them a lot as the MED500X2 basically does almost 99% of the job.

We’ve been using this 3D TV from LG (a review unit from LG Phils.) for close to 3 weeks now — a 47-inch full HD 3D LED TV that came with a Bluray player and 5.1 surround speakers, the kind that can make your 2D movies look 3D (with the 3D glasses, of course).
