We got this Olevia Box a few days before my trip to Europe so I wasn’t able to test it extensively until only recently. This companion box plugs into your HDTV to make it work like those expensive Smart TVs. Big difference is that this one runs on a customized Android platform.

Samsung Philippines set me up to an overnight stay at the Maxim’s Hotel last Monday to be the first one to get a closer look and enjoy their latest Smart LED TV. This 55-inch Samsung ES8000 is just one of three models of flagship LED TVs the Korean has put out for 2012.

So the Sony and Ericsson affair has finally ended and the mobile tech world is waiting for Sony to reveal its pure blood offspring the way they would for the next pope. What Sony has released from its labs is far from anything that resembles a PlayStation-loving teenager. Carrying a 4.3” HD screen under a piano black glass that is mounted on a poly-carbonate black-matte body, they have sent out a man in an Armani suit. Check out our full review of the Sony Xperia S after the jump.

First time I ever saw an OLED TV was back in March 2010 when we did a tour of LG factories in South Korea. That was just a 15-inch prototype though but this one that is being shown by LG at CES 2012 is 55-inch big.

The HTC Evo 3D separates itself from the rest of the smartphone pack by including two 5MP rear cameras to produce stereoscopic 3D images and videos. Like the high-end LED TVs we’ve seen lately, the 3D rendering is either regarded as a gimmick or the next big thing in entertainment. Check out our full review of the HTC Evo 3D after the jump.

The Sony-Ericsson Xperia Arc S did not deviate much from the original Arc except for the bump in processor speed (and the additional colored variant) so it’s not really a huge improvement, in my opinion. Nevertheless, those extra clock cycles will certainly be of help once your handset needs it. Check out our full review after the jump.

The Nokia N9 is the most interesting phone that came out of the Finnish company in years. Not only because it comes with totally different OS but also because it represents what Nokia could have become if it had done this strategy way earlier. Check out our full review of the Nokia N9 after the jump.

We’ve had a good month or two using the media player from Mede8er, the MED500X2. It handily replaced all my other media players at home (Apple TV, HDX 1000 and Popcorn Hour) and not really missing them a lot as the MED500X2 basically does almost 99% of the job.

We’ve been using this 3D TV from LG (a review unit from LG Phils.) for close to 3 weeks now — a 47-inch full HD 3D LED TV that came with a Bluray player and 5.1 surround speakers, the kind that can make your 2D movies look 3D (with the 3D glasses, of course).

We got a sweet two weeks with the whole gang from Sony (a 40-inch 3D LED TV, PS3, PlayStation Move and Blue-ray) and though I’ve only used it less half that time, I’ve really enjoyed every minute of it.
