Four months after we gave you guys a sneak preview of the Ascend P1, Huawei Philippines has finally announced the arrival of their dual-core, SGS2-looking handset. With this late announcement, we can’t help but wonder if this is a case of “too little, too late” for the promising Ascend P1.
ASUS Philippines is set to launch two notebook PCs which will sport an ultrabook body but with a slight difference in configuration. The firm sent us one of the two which is the ASUS A46 SlimBook. Let’s see how what this notebook is all about after the break.

Along with the HP Envy Spectre that was launched last week, HP is also entering the desktop PC gaming market in the Philippines with the introduction of the H9 Phoenix.
HP Philippines launched the Envy 14 Spectre ultrabook the other night. The flagship notebook is packed with an Intel Core i7 processor and wrapped with Gorilla Glass. The Spectre has also set the record as the most expensive ultrabook to ever reach Philippine shores.
With the short time we had in London, the only place I was able to visit to buy some stuff was Harrod’s and was fortunately see get a good look at the HP Spectre in one of the shops there. Turns out, the HP Envy Spectre is already available and being sold in the Philippines.

The IdeaPad U300s is Lenovo’s very own sampling in the ultrabook category. The model got its inspiration with Lenovo’s earlier ultraportable laptops, starting with the smaller IdeaPad U150 and the 12.5-incher IdeaPad U260. Though not yet official launched or released in the Philippines, the HTC Titan has already attracted a lot of attention from local consumers, especially WP7 fans, despite the fact that this is already the nth Windows Phone HTC introduced to the market. First revealed back in December 2010, the Lenovo IdeaPad U260 is the first ultraportable to have an odd 12.5″ display screen not seen anywhere else. And though Lenovo also has their own line-up for the 11.6″ form factor, I think the 12.5″ is a special distinction for their more premium models.

The 11.6-inch thin and light notebooks have been my personal choice for a portable laptop. They’re mostly powered by ULV Pentium and Core 2 Solo/Duo processors. The Gateway EC19C10i tops it up to a Core i5.

Cherry Mobile Philippines just announced their latest Windows Mobile powered dual-SIM smartphone they called Eclipse 2. The most intriguing part is that the design and specifications are very identical to an earlier smartphone — a Gigabyte GSmart S1205.

This Intel Core i7 gaming laptop was demoed to us last week during Toshiba’s 25th year anniversary as a laptop manufacturer. It’s the 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV which is probably the first 3D-ready gaming laptop we’ve seen in the Philippines.
