I also got this Archos DVR Station along with the Android tablet but didn't opened it up until today. Hooked it up to my HDTV today and found some pretty nice features in it. The cradle allows you to project the 5-inch screen into your TV at hi-definition (720p) so you can play HD movies like a media center. At the back side of the cradle, there's composite, S-video, RGG or YPbPr video outputs along with an HDMI port. When hooked up to the TV, it can actually record the shows from the TV to the Archos tablet easily. I…

Archos 70 unboxed, in the flesh!

So we got the most popular variant of the Archos Android tablets this year, the Archos 70. There's a limited number of units available locally and release has been delayed twice but the local Archos distributor was able to get us a review unit. Having tried the bigger Archos 101, I must admit that the Archos 70 looks sleeker, thinner (much thinner than the Galaxy Tab or the Cherry Mobile Superion) and lighter. I think it's just the right size for an internet tablet. Archos A70 Internet Tablet 7″ display @ 800×480 pixel capacitive screen 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU…

The local distributor of Archos in the Philippines dropped by this evening and left this pretty little Android tablet with me -- it's the Archos 5 Internet Tablet, and yes it's finally here in the Philippines. The Archos 5 is just one of the many internet tablets in its line. This one measures 4.8" diagonally (my 4-inch Xperia X10 pales in comparison).
