So far, the most popular section being used is the Chatrooms with over 78 groups (with 20 max capacity each almost full). Anybody here been using it regularly?

Smart Uzzap: IM, Email and a bucket of SMS

Relevance: 96%      Posted on: July 7, 2008

Smart yesterday launched a new PC and mobile IM app called Smart Uzzap (probably a Web 2.0 play on the Tagalog term "usap" or talk). The app/service seems to aim into the PC-to-mobile (and vice versa) messaging market. The app can be downloaded/installed directly into your mobile phone and will run via a 3G connection to initiate the mobile messaging (can't seem to make it work via WiFi of the phone). The catch -- there's no connection/browsing/3G charges at all, just a one-off time-based package pricing. Smart Uzzap has a chat, email and SMS component and from now until July…

Plug-It, Uzzap & SmartBro: by the Numbers

Relevance: 78%      Posted on: August 6, 2008

According to a recent disclosure by PLDT, Smart's wireless services are still growing pretty strong. Leading the pack is the fixed-wireless service Smart Bro, closing it to half a million subscribers since it first launched 3 years ago. By end of June 2008, Smart Bro subscribers has reached about 408,000 in number. PLDT revenues from Smart Bro reached Php1.9 Billion for the first half of 2008. However, if you divide that amount by the 408k subscribers, it's just Php776 per month per subscriber (or Php317 Million per month) although MSF right now is pegged at Php999. The discrepancy may be…

Why the “Beta” fad?

Relevance: 68%      Posted on: March 24, 2006

Google has not only managed to be a market leader in almost anything it puts its eyes into but it has unwittingly created a whole lot of "coolness" and raves for the viral marketing strategy of beta releases. Gmail went on beta. Google Desktop came out on beta. GTalk came out as a beta. And a whole slew of other Google services as well. The "on invite only" strategy made things more creative and got some buzz (imagine seeing Gmail invites for sale on eBay when it first came out). The rest came in and followed suit with their beta

Are you tired of looking the same old default lock screen on you Windows Phone device? Well, fret no more as Microsoft has recently made the Live Lock Screen (Beta) app available on Windows Store, and we think you should really give this one a try. Brainwavz: Alpha vs. Beta Earphones

Relevance: 62%      Posted on: October 31, 2011

Had these two Brainwavz earphones sent to me about a month ago but after using them twice in the gym, I already misplaced the two and could not remember where I'd put them. Was still hoping I could find and use them before I write this post and gave them away. In those two short instances that I've used them, I can clearly remember which one I liked better -- the Brainwavz Alpha. The Alpha is actually the cheaper one at about Php950 but it's got a much better bass compared to the more expensive Brainwavz Beta (SRP: Php1,350). The…
