O+ 8.9 and 8.12 get Jellybean Update

O+ USA has recently announced on their Facebook Page that Android 4.1 Jellybean updates are now available for two of their handsets -- the O+ 8.12 and the O+ 8.9. Unfortunately, this is not an over-the-air update so owners will have to send in their units for the software upgrade. O+ recommends that handset owners of the 8.9 and 8.12 visit the nearest service centers of O+ to have the Jellybean update.

Sony rolls out Jellybean update for Xperia ion

Following the release of the Jellybean update for the Xperia S, SL, and Acro S earlier this month, Sony has finally released the Jellybean firmware for the one-year old Xperia ion. The 4.1.2 Jellybean firmware is currently for Xperia ion units with build number 6.2.B.0.211 and will arrive via the Sony PC Companion for Windows or Sony Bridge for Mac. Originally slated for roll out last September 28, the Jellybean update (Android 4.1.1) for the Asus Transformer Pad TF201 and Pad Infinity TF700 is now available. CM Titan to get Jellybean update

Cherry Mobile has posted a picture on their Facebook fan page announcing the arrival of the Jellybean update for the 5-inch Titan. As opposed to the usual process of updating a device’s firmware, Titan users are encouraged to drop by the nearest Cherry Mobile service center starting on 15th of this month in order for the update to be applied to their device. Details of what the update will bring to the 5-inch smartphone remains scarce, but it’s safe to assume that it’ll have all the good stuff that Android Jellybean has to offer.

We reported last year that Sony is going to roll out its Jellybean update for the Xperia V (LT25i) around mid-February of this year. Looks like they're right on schedule as users from Europe are already receiving the update.
