A growing number of pinoy blogs have been reporting better returns with Text Link Ads than Adsense. At TLA, each link ad could costs somewhere between $15 to $100 per month. Maximum link ads is 8 per blog but could be increased if demand for links on your blog exceeds that quota. TLA gets 50% commission from each sale. A quick survey of Pinoy blogs at Text Link Ads reveals link prices from…

Technorati Link Count explained

Relevance: 99%      Posted on: January 23, 2007

I've been asked about the Technorati link counts every so often and though the quickest explanation to the fluctuations is that Technorati only consider links to your blog from the last 6 months. But sometimes, the links aren't counted and you feel that you ahve more incoming ones than Technorati wanted to count. Here's some more explanation based on observations I've had with the way Technorati crawling/counting links: The links to your blog is only counted if and when Technorati crawls/indexes the linking blog. If a blog gives you a link thru a blog entry, and it's counted by Technorati,…

Juts how much is that link on your blog or website really worth? Text Link Ads (aff) launched this nifty Link Worth Calculator for their publisher-members. Depends really on a lot of factors and the people who are interested to advertise on your site. Traffic of your website – the lower the Alexa ranking, the higher the price. Link popularity of your website – the more links (and more quality links), the higher the price. Theme of your website - there is more demand for some themes than others. Number of links to be sold – the fewer the number…

First of all, wow -- $3,995 USD is a lot of moolah for a single effective linkbait! Just look at his link baiting fees: I am now offering a link baiting service on a limited basis. The cost is $3,995 USD, paid upfront. (E-mail me for more payment details.) What do we mean by "link baiting"? Link baiting is really just a new term for viral marketing or viral link building. Significant variation in return…

Link Exchange Policy

Relevance: 91%      Posted on: October 30, 2005

Every once in a while, I get an email from some webmasters or site owners asking for a reciprocal link exchange with my blog. I usually brush them off as some nuissance emails and automatically delete them. Lately though, I have been thinking a little more or trying to reconsider the offers. However, as Marc would have put it, you need to look at some factors when doing or accepting some link exchanges. One of them would obviously be the PageRank (PR) of the site that wants to exchange links with you. Another would be the type of site and…

TLA Link Ad Price Hike

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: February 1, 2007

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but it looks like Text Link Ads has recently updated the list prices for link ads. The price updates could have been made early January as I see newer ads priced differently than the old recurring ones. The ones that were affected are mostly blogs that have had their Page Ranks increased in last quarter's update or the ones with site wide links. I've had blogs which used to rate $15 a pop but now gets $45 and another one jumped from $25/ad to $75 (although I have a link ad from a…
