Acer’s own version of a Windows 8 tablet and laptop hybrid, the Aspire P3, has finally arrived in the Philippines with a retail price of Php33,900.
In a report by Minimachines, it looks like Acer is going to release an 8-inch version of their Windows 8 tablet and it’s not the RT type. The Acer Iconia W3 is powered by an Intel Atom CPU, 2GB RAM and Windows 8.
After taking aim at the Nexus 7 with the Iconia B1, Acer now places its sights on the iPad Mini with the Iconia A1-810 which sports 7.9-inch display and Android Jellybean.
Acer and Asus are competing in the entry-level Android tablet. Acer has the 7-inch Iconia Tab B1 while Asus has its own 7-inch MeMO Pad ME172V. Both brands took a slightly different approach so we thought we’d pit them in a side by side comparison.
Went around SM Cyberzone in Megamall this afternoon and spotted Acer’s new Jellybean tablet. This could be the Acer Iconia B1 Jellybean tablet which was supposed to retail for only $99 in the US but then re-priced to $150 by Acer during CES 2013.
There aren’t a lot of tablets that are being showcased in this year’s CES. Acer sees this as an opportunity to take the spotlight (or at least some of it) and point it towards their affordable creation, the Iconia Tab B1-A71.
While the world is waiting for the rumored $99 Google Nexus 7, Acer is already positioned to release it’s budget-friendly 7 incher – the Acer Iconia B1.
Acer’s new line of Iconia tablets are now out in stores with the 7-inch Iconia Tab A110 selling for Php12,500 and the 10-inch Iconia Tab A210 selling for Php17,000. Both Jellybean tablets are available in local stores.
