Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition

Rockstar just announced that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be coming to Google's Play Store and the Apple App Store by the 6th of December to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. It promises to deliver high-resolution graphics and several enhancements such as updated character models, lighting effects and more gameplay options. Rockstar also said that it will feature native support for devices with a Retina Display. The controls and the interface will probably be similar to the previous game ported to mobile, Grand Theft Auto 3, which also celebrated its 10th Year Anniversary back then. The game will be compatible…

Davao Blog Party

Relevance: 99%      Posted on: March 18, 2007

Last night's Davao Blog party was a blast! I never imagined Davao has so many bloggers and are actively participating in such offline community gatherings such as these. Finally met several bloggers I've known for a long time but never got the chance to see face to face. Bloggie, the lead party organizer, has the rundown at Ang Dabawenyo. Tha place, Netfront Cafe, was really cool. Really cheap PC rates and free wifi. Yes, free wifi on almost 90% of the hotspots in the city. Thanks, Marc Javellana, for the invitation, to Casa Letecia for the free accommodations, Andrew for…

Blogger Meetup, Davao Leg

Relevance: 97%      Posted on: September 13, 2006

Just an update to those who've mentioned interest for a blogger meet-up sponsored by Globe Innove. Just finished a meeting with their Senior Brand Manager along with Jayvee at GB3 and we've agreed on some of the time tables I'm helping coordinate. Since my last post about this, majority of the Davao bloggers have responded positively, we'll do the Davao leg first. Here's the tentative sked: What: Blogger Meetup Where: Davao City (place TBA) When: October 2, 2006 (evening) Who: 10 Davao Bloggers We're limiting the participants to about 10 to keep it small and manageable. Those who have already…

BBM for Android now for download on the Play Store

Relevance: 96%      Posted on: October 22, 2013

Looks like BBM app for Android is now back in the Google Play Store and ready for download. The app was set to roll out last month but got delayed due to leaked copies. But now, it seems it's back on the store once again. We just tried it a while ago and was able to successfully download and install BBM app. Just look for BBM in the Play Store and make sure the name of the developer is BlackBerry Limited. We're still waiting for the same app to appear in the iTunes App Store.

GTA San Andreas hits Windows Phone Store

Relevance: 95%      Posted on: January 27, 2014

After getting a month’s worth of head start, Android and iOS users are now joined by their WP-wielding friends as developer Rockstar Games brings Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to Windows Store. The debut of the game on WP8 doesn’t really come as a surprise as the team behind the popular title already said that they will also port it on other platforms like Windows Phone 8 and Amazon AppStore in the succeeding month. The game is still pretty much the same as the two previous ports. WP8 users will also have to download the massive 2.5GB file from the…

Podcasting in Davao

Relevance: 93%      Posted on: March 17, 2007

Tonight's the Davao Blog Party! We're currently here at Casa Leticia in the heart of the city of Davao thinking of some really good title for a new podcast project hosted by me and Jayvee. (Special thanks to the Casa for the free accommodations.) The first one we did in Puerto Galera a couple weeks back was good (The Bugged Cast) and we're listening it it right now trying to strike off some stuff that doesn't need to be disclosed to the public (like Jayvee's new love interest or Marc's upcoming wedding). *hehehe* So, we're going to do a new…

T-Mobile G1 Android Phone in the Flesh

Relevance: 91%      Posted on: November 18, 2008

Managed to "borrow" one of the recently released T-Mobile G1 (a.k.a. Google Android Phone) and cooking up a full review. For the meantime, let me share some photos. The Google Phone is one of the oddest phone I've ever seen in terms of design and form factor. Even the mechanism for flipping out the keyboard is a bit unconventional. Took several shots of the phone together with the Nokia E71, iPhone 3G and Xperia X1 for some visual comparison. The G1 is indeed huge and bulky. Will be done with my review before the week ends so watch out for…

Click the City Android App

Relevance: 86%      Posted on: May 21, 2010

Was able to check out the pre-release version of Click the City's Android App. This is basically the same app they have for the iPhone and iPod Touch I tried out late last year. The most useful feature "Search Near Me" is looking better with additional functions such as restaurant menu and show in map. The map shows where you are and where the chosen restaurant is as well as an estimated distance (in meters) for the location. Apart from restaurant listing, its got movie skeds and TV show listings as well as event and show schedules. The app will…

China Phone + Google Android

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: January 16, 2010

Imagine one of the best and free mobile OS installed on the cheapest phones in the market? Yeah, those cheap knock-off phones from China could probably one days come with an Android OS. I realized there's nothing in this world these Chinese factories cannot make so why not a cheap phone with Android OS in them? It doesn't need to be touchscreen but the basic specs that we're seeing in the gray market will do: Dual Active SIM, QWERTY keyboard, WiFI, 3G, a TV Tuner, 256MB internal storage for Android App and up to 8GB microSD Card. If they can…
