Turn your Phone to a WiFi HotSpot

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: December 29, 2009

I've been using JoikuSpot for some time now and it's been one of the most useful apps on my mobile phone to date. The app basically turns your phone into a WiFi hotspot running on 3G internet. All you need to do is install JoikuSpot on your phone, run the app and select which internet connection to use (i.e. 3G). That's it -- it will then use the built-in WiFi of your phone to turn itself as an access point. I've posted another tutorial here before on how to share 3G internet of your laptop to other devices via WiFi

Research in Motion is making its biggest push today. Aside from launching two new BlackBerry 10 handsets, it has also re-branded itself and will now be called BlackBerry. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins delivered the news today saying that "One brand. One promise. Our customers use a BlackBerry, our employees work for BlackBerry, and our shareholders are owners of BlackBerry". BlackBerry PlayBook won’t be getting BlackBerry OS 10

Relevance: 66%      Posted on: June 29, 2013

Do you own a BlackBerry PlayBook? The 7-inch tablet made by RIM (BlackBerry) two years ago? If yes, bad news awaits. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins announced that the promised BlackBerry 10 update for all PlayBook isn't going to push through. That is announced after not being able to reach target profit for the Q1 2013. BlackBerry's sole justification of leaving PlayBook behind is that they wanted to focus and give more attention to core products since it wasn't able to deliver good performance in terms of profit. Remember what Heins said in an interview? "In five years I don’t think…
