Relevance: 82%      Posted on: March 25, 2009

Now this is going to disappoint those who bought the Canon 50D earlier and paid premium for it -- Canon's new entry level dSLR, the EOS Rebel T1i (commonly known as the Canon EOS 500D), now offers full HD video capture at 30fps. Video capture using dSLR seems to be the in thing now -- the Canon Rebel T1i features 16:9 720p HD video capture at 30 fps as well as a Full HD 1080p video capture at 20 fps, and a third option to record 4:3 standard TV quality (SD) video capture at 640 x 480 pixels and 30…

Canon debuts EOS 1200D, aka Rebel T5

Relevance: 79%      Posted on: February 16, 2014

Three years after the release of the now ageing EOS 1100D, Canon has added a new budget DSLR camera in to their entry-level portfolio, the Canon EOS 1200D / Rebel T5. The Japanese firm has only made some minor tweaks on the 1200D’s body like the addition of a rubberized thumbrest on the back. They’ve also changed the arrangement of the buttons which follows the same arrangement found on the EOS 700D. Specs-wise though, the Rebel T5 doesn’t have a lot new things to offer to the table apart from a more respectable 3-inch display with twice as many pixels…

The Canon Rebel XT that my Photo Gallery bought

Relevance: 67%      Posted on: July 16, 2006

It's finally been bought -- the Canon EOS 350D is now officially a part of my gadget collection. (Couldn't get pictures of it because my Ixus' battery charger died out on me.) Thanks to my Photo Gallery which practically earned the entire amount fund the new digital camera. Well, you can say that my Canon Ixus 30 which I bought in March last year is the big momma of the Rebel XT (i.e. katulad sa taxi -- nanganganak din ang camera). Here's the AdSense screenshot for the Photo Gallery to those who are curious how much it costs to get…

Canon to unveil 3 DSLR cameras this year

Relevance: 59%      Posted on: January 28, 2013

CanonRumors reports that they just got a tip from a “very reliable source” that the Japanese imaging giant is brewing up three DSLR cameras this year. Two of these cameras are said to be under the entry-level category; 70D and a Rebel (700D). Although we agree with their first guess, we’d like to think that the other camera would be a refresher of the 2-year old 1100D. The rationale for our hypothesis is that Canon would want their entry-level offering to be in the same playing field as the Nikon D3200. Here’s a chart to show you the difference between…

Canon’s EOS 350D hits sub-50k price

Was visiting Abensons here at WalterMart Pasong-Tamo for 3 days now to check out their 50% sale on appliances. The 34" Sony Wega TVs got me drooling but at the discounted price tag of Php49,999, it was still pricey for me (anyone interested in my two-year old 29" Kolin TV for 10k? hehehe). I ended up getting a La Germania gas range to replace my 5 year-old super kalan at home (yes, it's that old), so I could get some decent home-cooked meal around here. Anyway, what took most of my time in the shop was the Canon Rebel XT…
