The Cheapest Canon dSLR Camera

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: March 20, 2008

Got this new Canon dSLR from a good friend a week ago. This was their gift to me for doing their prenup shots I featured on my photoblog a month ago. I don't know which model it is though. See pictures after the jump. It's cute and probably the cheapest dSLR you'd ever get so it's a great idea as a gift. Just click on the thumbnails to see the larger images. Oh, I forgot to say it's made out of clay, weighs an ounce and no bigger than a two-peso coin in diameter. I believe these clay models are…

Cheap iPod battery replacement at CDR King

Relevance: 95%      Posted on: May 11, 2007

Was looking for DVI/HDMI cables and adaptors last night and I thought CDR King might have them. They didn't have them but I was surprised with the newer stock of gadget accessories they have -- iPod replacement batteries. And they're pretty cheap too -- prices starts at Php350 for the iPod Shuffle to Php400 for the newer generation iPod Videos. I also checked their website and they got it on display. The prices are so low they're almost as cheap as the other cellphone batteries along the sidewalks and half as much as generic batteries for my Canon dSLR. Now,…

dSLR Sensor Cleaning Kit

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: July 24, 2009

Been wanting to have my dSLR cleaned in the Canon Service Center for months but was concerned it will take over a month before I can get it back so when I found this CCD cleaning kit, I grabbed one immediately and hoped for the best. Over the years, I've noticed some specks of dust and fiber inside my camera's sensor. It affected most of my shots as they become apparent in every photo I take but some careful cleaning with an air-blower helped. The one I got is the SensorKlear Loupe and SensorKlear II Combo by Lenspen. I've seen…

There are a handful of ways to add Wi-Fi to your Canon EOS dSLR camera. You can go for the WiFi-enabled SD cards like the Toshiba FlashAir or buy one of those pricey Wireless File Transmitters from Canon which ranges from $600 to a whopping $850. But if you’re on tight budget, you can also try this simple tweak we saw on the web that can save you tons of dough. Apart from your EOS dSLR camera, the whole setup only requires three things; an Android smartphone/tablet and a TV Stick with DLSR Controller Beta and DSLR Controller Wi-Fi Stick…

Relevance: 72%      Posted on: January 27, 2009

Canon dSLR owners who wished they had the same HD video recording features like the Canon 5D Mark II might find this little nifty tool with their cameras. The app is pretty simple -- extract the software, connect the USB cable to your dSLR (40D, 1000D, 450D), click on Record, zoom/focus the camera lens manually, click on stop when done. The raw video output runs at 1024x640 resolution with a bitrate of 55KB/s. Here's a sample I took and uploaded on YouTube. The original recorded video was of very…
