April has arrived and while some are enjoying some April Fool’s prank, let’s take a look at the reviews we’ve done last month.
Samsung has probably one of the most number of tablets in the market. The line-up is so packed that it is split between two categories — the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note 8.0 combines the best of both the Galaxy Tab brand and the Galaxy S brand. Why? Check out our [...]
Local media over at Bulgaria got some details on the much leaked and anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, specifically pricing and release details.
There’s been a lot of rumors surrounding what supposedly is a less expensive iPhone Mini. The same reason that Apple decided to make a more affordable iPad Mini, the iPhone Mini could also be a move to gain more market share. The question is — will people bite into that Apple idea?
After taking the 7-inch tablet market by storm with the Nexus 7, Google enters a bigger arena with their 10-inch slate – the Nexus 10. The question is, does it have the capability to take on the iPad and make another killing? Let’s find out by reading our full review after the break.
We all know that tablets come in all shapes and sizes so for the sake of categorizing, we’ve narrowed it down to two sizes; there’s the 7-inchers and the above 7-inch tablets. Now if you’re in the search for an ample-sized slate, here’s our top 5 tablets above 7-inches which we think we’ll give the [...]
The release of the new iPad 3 a bit delayed but it’s finally here. Globe Telecom did their own launch event last night to offer the WiFi+4G models and just this afternoon, the Apple Online Store also reflected the new iPad 3 as available.
For the last 3 weeks now, I’ve been to three European states and have seen and experienced the advancement of technology in these first-world countries. It’s oftentimes amazing but once in a while, I would miss the ones I enjoyed in the Philippines.
The recent report of Chile implementing the mandatory unlocking of all phones that are sold in the country this month got me thinking if this is possible in the Philippines. Of course it’s possible but I doubt it will be happening anytime soon.
Sat down with the folks from Fine Upgrade to talk about doing some giveaways for YugaTech readers this Christmas. Incidentally, they’re also distributing a new line of products under the brand name Cliptec.
The elusive HTC Flyer made a quick stop-over at home over the week-end. It’s been out since last month although HTC Philippines did not really made any official launch event (which should have been done along with the Sensation and Wildfire S).
For about a year or two, car GPS systems have started to become available in the Philippines. There are at least 3 or 4 different companies offering portable GPS in the country and some car dealerships have also started bundling them with a new purchase of a motor vehicle.
We reported last month that Samsung Philippines will release a WiFi-only variant of their 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab. Turns out the tablet is already here in the Philippines and selling at a discounted price of just Php16,990.
And misses the Philippines, again. April isn’t really that far so we might be seeing more affordable iPad2′s in the local grey market (cheaper than the 36k we’re seeing). No specific date in April was made but that should be under 30 days.
Of the many number of tablets that has been announced this week, the most likely units that will eventually arrive in the Philippines are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (SGT P7100) and the LG Optimus Pad.
So the Apple Philippines Online Store has finally added the iPad to the online store (although the link still goes to a blank page) in preparation for the official release in the Philippines.
Been getting a lot emails from people wanting to buy a tablet this Christmas, mostly as a gift to themselves. The top two contenders are the Apple iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Here’s a quick guide to all those who asked just to help you make that final decision.
There was a time when mobile Internet was considered a luxury service. It was only limited to corporate executives who needs mobile Internet to access Outlook emails and SharePoint files. Globe’s Visibility and Smart WeRoam were still uber expensive and you’re locked with a contract. Prepaid 3G or even EDGE connection is non-existent.
Spent the entire day today at Akibahara, the mecca for all gadget-geeks. It’s everything I had imagined it to be and then some. So here’s the run-down.
The Archos 9 is among the very few Windows 7 powered tablets I’ve tried and this unit reminds me of the Viliv line of tablets we tried before, only bigger and cheaper. See our full review of the Archos 9 after the jump.
Amazon has refreshed its e-Reader with a graphite-colored Kindle DX. Still the same Kindle but with 50% better contrast and slightly cheaper than before.
