Creative outs own ZiiO Android tablet

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: November 4, 2010

Looks like Creative, maker of music players and speakers, also created their own Android tablet -- the Creative Ziio and they come in 7-inch and 10-inch form factors. Probably the most surprising fact between these two Android tablets is that Creative uses resistive screen displays when everybody else is moving towards capacitive display. The Creative Ziio comes in 7" TFT (480x800 pixels) and 10" (1024x768 pixels) with internal storage options of 8GB and 16GB, expandable using an SD/microSD card slot up to 32GB. Both have WiFi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 but no 3G options. There's no Android Marketplace either…

Android Tablet from China out in Malls

Relevance: 33%      Posted on: August 28, 2010

A tipper sent this in this afternoon telling us he's spotted a Chinese Android Tablet in one of the local malls (this is probably the iPed). The tablet runs on an older version of Android (probably v1.5) and looks like the screen dimension is around 7 to 9 inches across. Uses a stylus (resistive screen) and no multitouch support but has a camera and HDMI (not sure, probably micro-USB) port. The Android tablet sells for Php6,000. {Hat tip to Rafael Oca.}

Sneak Peek: YugaTech Android Tablet

Relevance: 32%      Posted on: April 1, 2010

So TechCrunch had the JooJoo and now YugaTech has an Android Tablet. I'd like to share a sneak peek at the upcoming YugaTech DroPad we had designed with our Taiwanese partner, FoxConn. It's not yet finished and what I have here is just a prototype of a 7-inch Android-powered tablet. I wanted to get some feedback from YugaTech readers and maybe share some photos before we finalize this device. Can't really share the complete specs but what I can say is that the device will have support for 3G/HSDPA, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, an 8GB internal storage, SD card slot…

MyPhone to launch MyTablet Android tablet?

Relevance: 32%      Posted on: March 17, 2011

Just had a talk with one of the industry people today and they mentioned that Solid Group, Inc. (SGI), the local MyPhone manufacturer, will be launching their own branded Android tablet in the Philippines. No details are available yet but I'm looking into verifying this story and getting more details and pricing about their tablet. My guess is that it will come from one of those OEMs in China. The tablet is said to be named MyTablet. SGI earned a reportedly Php2 billion in unit sales for the fiscal year 2010 -- that's a 9-fold sales increase from their performance…

The Cloudpad One 7.0 will probably earn the title of the first local Android tablet running on Lollipop. This entry-level tablet has a 7.0 inch screen with a resolution of 800x1280 pixels. The tablet runs on an Intel Atom Z3537G which is a 1.83GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. The Cloudpad One 7.0 comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and 4,000mAh Li-Ion battery. Relevance: 31%      Posted on: May 20, 2010

nVidia showed off a prototype of an upcoming Android Tablet designed by Foxconn and running their dual-core Tegra 250 chipset. The design looks a little smaller than the Apple iPad at 8.9" but seemed more portable and handy {via Gizmodo}. The prototype runs a newer ARM Cortex-A9 chip @ 1.0GHz with the video graphics running an nVidia Tegra, expect this to be geared more towards heavy gaming. No additional details were revealed but they said its got 1GB of RAM, a front-facing camera, USB ports and an unknown version of Android OS.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z official Philippine price

Relevance: 30%      Posted on: July 1, 2013

Just days after we released our full review of the Xperia Tablet Z, Sony Philippines has made the gorgeous 10-inch tablet available nationwide through their concept stores. Read on for the full details. The one that we have for review was a 16GB Wi-Fi only version which currently retails for Php27,500 on e-tailers. On the other hand, Sony’s selling the LTE-enabled version with the same internal storage and they’re asking Php35,990 for it. We’re not entirely sure what to make out of Sony PH's pricing, because the tablet is marginally cheaper in other countries where it was also being retailed.…
