Sony launches Cybershot RX1, full-frame compact camera

Relevance: 94%      Posted on: February 20, 2013

First discovered in a leaked photo back in September, the Sony Cybershot RX1 is the closest successor the popular RX100. It claims the title as the first full-frame compact camera. Normally, when you talk about camera with 35mm full-frame imaging capabilities, you're talking about huge and heavy professional dSLRs like the Sony Alpha A99 (which they also launched tonight) or the Canon 5D Mark 3 (to the un-initiated, a full frame camera gives you the exact picture as you see it in the frame; there's no cropping factor to consider). Well, the Sony RX1 does not look anything like that…

Meaning, there should be more comments and trackbacks than posts to show that it is a conversation, not a one way broadcast". Although the two computes the index in completely opposite directions of the scale, both basically has the same meaning and measurement. The formula is as simple as the quotient of…

Relevance: 85%      Posted on: September 17, 2012

This might sound a bit odd but the successor to the 7D might be this Canon 6D which features a 20-megapixel full frame sensor. I couldn't remember the exact phrase mentioned to me by Dr. William Torres (more commonly known in the local IT industry as the Father of Philippine Internet) during the last eCommerce Forum when we huddled in a group discussing suggestions on infrastructure that could help promote internet commerce in the country. In essence, this broadband normalization index is being studied by the NTC to create a bandwidth standard in broadband connectivity offered by commercial telcos.
