Relevance: 90%      Posted on: May 11, 2007

Was looking for DVI/HDMI cables and adaptors last night and I thought CDR King might have them. They didn't have them but I was surprised with the newer stock of gadget accessories they have -- iPod replacement batteries. And they're pretty cheap too -- prices starts at Php350 for the iPod Shuffle to Php400 for the newer generation iPod Videos. I also checked their website and they got it on display. The prices are so low they're almost as cheap as the other cellphone batteries along the sidewalks and half as much as generic batteries for my Canon dSLR. Now,…

It’s now cheap to wiretap Lozada and de Venecia

According to a report, a group of hackers at the Black Hat conference in Washington D.C. claim that they're able to hack GSM calls with equipment costing about $1,000. Until now, wiretapping over a GSM network is an expensive operation that only the military and the intelligence divisions have the money to do so. With that "Crying Baby" videos on YouTube about Jun Lozada and Joey de Venecia, looks like everybody with $1,000 cash will soon be able to afford to wiretap anyone. Technology will always catch-up but people can always avoid it. Problem with people like Gloria/Garcillano and the

In the past months we’ve covered a handful of affordable tablets from China. It came in different shapes and sizes and in all honesty they were pretty decently speced as well considering their price. Another Chinese manufactured tablet has recently landed in our doorsteps with the name Window N90 or YuanDao N90. The Window N90 comes in a fairly simple box. It comes with a charger, two USB cables one is short and one is more lengthy and a pair of headsets. The short microUSB cable terminates into a female USB 2.0. The tablet runs ICS out of the box…

A cheap Mac-like keyboard

Relevance: 74%      Posted on: May 25, 2009

Compact, slim and chiclet keys -- this China-made computer keyboard reminded me of Apple Mac's signature silver-white keyboards. So I took home one and see if it's any better than regular ones. It's not as classy and slim as the ones sold by Apple but I bet this one comes from the same factory in China (*jk*). Comes with a silicon cover too so it's spill-proof and dust-proof. I'm not so sure though if the Php850 price tag is really cheap.

Relevance: 71%      Posted on: May 23, 2011

It's been months, actually close to a year, since the first dual-SIM of Nokia was announced but the handset has not yet seen the light of day. The Nokia C2-00 has not yet been released in the Philippines and no word when it will be out (so sorry to all those who have been asking for months now). The Nokia C2-00 is probably the the first Nokia unit to have a huge gap or delay between announcement and actual release in the market (clocking in at 12 months and counting). The unit is pretty simple in terms of specs --…
