Mobile 3G is now cheaper than DSL!

Just realized that since all the telecom players (Sun, Smart and Globe) are now offering unlimited 3G internet and subsequently lowering the prices down, 3G is officially cheaper than DSL.

Contract-Free iPhone 3G to cost $599 at AT&T

A recent press release from AT& reveals the iPhone 3G to be priced at $599 for the 8GB and $699 for the 16GB. These contract-free prices seemed like the same prices when the first iPhone went out. Globe 3G: 5 Pesos Internet and Disconnection Charges

Globe 3G may be facing some serious issues this month due to frequent disconnection charges on their 5 Peso per 15 minute rates. Last month, Globe introduced time-based charging on top of the previous kilobyte rates — a pleasant development to loyal Globe subscribers. Problem though is the arbitrary disconnection/reconnection charges.
