We got an early hands-on and unboxing of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z and despite the fact that we’ve already tried it several times in the past couple of months, we’re still excited to unbox and use it in the next couple of weeks.
Globe Telecom has finally confirmed that all iPhone 5 postpaid subscribers will get access to their LTE network at no additional charge. This means that if you are currently on a MySuperSurf data plan, you can get LTE for free.
Globe is now offering its own mobile protection service called Gadget Care which covers handsets and tablets availed through Globe’s postpaid plans from accidental damage or loss due to theft.
So now that Globe’s LTE service has been finally revealed, we look at the pricing plans and compared it to Smart LTE. The chart below should give you a bigger picture on what each telco is offering.

We featured this HSPA+ capable mobile hotspot from ZTE a few weeks ago and we’ve finally gotten a review unit to test. Like many other pocket WiFi (MiFi) devices before it, the ZTE MF60 is one pretty kick-ass unit. If only it were more affordable.

There will always be claims of product/service superiority among competing companies and the one between Smart and Globe is a classic example. The latest one is the battle between mobile broadband services Globe Tattoo and Smart Bro.
