iPod Shuffle 3G: Unboxing Photos

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: March 24, 2009

Apple sent in a review unit of the new iPod Shuffle 3G. Though obviously lacking the usual control buttons, I'm still a bit amused at how small this iPod is (compared to the older generation Shuffles). See tons of unboxing photos after the jump. In the box: earphones with controls, short USB and iPod Shuffle. The cable of the earphones are a little different from the old ones (this one is more rubbery).

Apple’s new 3rd gen iPod Shuffle

Relevance: 96%      Posted on: March 12, 2009

Last night, Apple refreshed its iPod Shuffle. The 3rd generation Shuffle has again shed off some skin (at 0.3" wide) as well as the control buttons which might get users frustrated. The iPod Shuffle's transformation reminds me of Juicy Fruit (the chewing gum). Standard capacity is now at 4GB (about 1,000 songs) and features a battery life of 10 hours. It has a new VoiceOver feature that tells you the name of the song that's playing and the artist at a click of a button. The controls have been shed off and were moved to the earphones. That means you…

iPod Shuffle 4G Review

Relevance: 86%      Posted on: September 24, 2010

The latest iPod Shuffle (4th generation) does not enjoy the title of the smallest music player from Apple. That title is still retained by the older model which they abandoned. Check out our full review of the iPod Shuffle 4G after the jump. In fact, Apple reverted back 2 generations into the design of the iPod Shuffle (2G). It seems like Apple is admitting they got it wrong with the design of the iPod Shuffle 3G and should have gone with the design of the 2nd generation instead. And so the correction has been made and the new iPod Shuffle

iPod Shuffle 3G Review

Relevance: 83%      Posted on: April 8, 2009

The new iPod Shuffle 3G is the smallest music player from Apple. The biggest change to this model is the absence of playback controls, a functionality that drew a lot of flak when it was announced.  The new 3rd-gen iPod Shuffle is surprisingly small (about a half to two-thirds of the size of its predecessor) you'd easily mistaken it as a paper or money clip. The only controls embedded in the device is the On/Off switch situated at the top end together with the 3.5mm jack and a small needle-point light to indicate device activity.   Since iPod Shuffle's don't have…

5th Gen iPod Nano with Video and FM Radio

Relevance: 65%      Posted on: September 10, 2009

As the iPod nano is the world's most popular music player (hitting 100 million units), Apple today bumped up its specs along with some minor upgrades on the iPod Classic, Shuffle and iPod Touch. The 5th-generation iPod Nano now comes in 9 different colors and gets a video camera and FM tuner to boot (they should have added WiFi too if you asked me). Still at 8GB and 16GB, the Nano retails at Php8,790 and Php10,490. The iPod Touch, on the other had, was bumped to 64GB. Apple dropped the 16GB model and retained the 8GB for just Php11,490. The…

The new colors of the iPod Nano

Relevance: 63%      Posted on: September 13, 2006

Apple just released a new pack of iPod Nanos in 5 different colors and thinner. A new 8GB size capacity was also introduced with prices starting at $149. They're soo eeriely similar to the iPod Mini. The iPod Video now comes in 80GB wiping out the old 60GB. The iPod SHuffle got much much smaller too! Sold at $79 at 1GB capacity. More here. I don't know if I should be happy or not that I bought a 2GB black Nano at the Taiwan Duty Free Shop last week.

Poll: Which iPod are you?

Relevance: 60%      Posted on: August 28, 2008

Reports say that the iPod Nano is the most popular of all the Apple media player line. That's maybe because when it first came out, it was the cheapest iPod at that time. Now that there are more than half a dozen models, I'd like to see which iPod people buy. Thus, the poll "Which iPod are you?" Choices are as follows: iPod Shuffle iPod Nano iPod Classic iPod Touch iPhone I have another MP3 player I don't have one Please head on to out poll section on the sidebar and cast your vote. Also leave a comment on why…
