Tim Cook revealed a lot of new details about their upcoming Apple Watch in today's event but perhaps the most important information they shared is the battery life and release date. The normal expected battery life is about 18 hours only which is good for an all-day use with normal activity. This means that battery life could be drastically reduced during heavy usage -- like making/receiving calls, talking to Siri, browsing on Instagram and posting stickers on WeChat. As for pricing, Apple Watch Sport starts at $349, going up to $399, depending on the size. The Apple Watch collection pricing…

Watch out for Google Philippines!

Relevance: 74%      Posted on: October 16, 2006

There was an entry at PTB about Google hiring Country Representatives for the Philippines over a year ago. That ad was there for the longest time and I thought it's because either no one's applying for such a high position or Google is just to picky. So, I was surprised when Marc told me about his email correspondence with this lady who's apparently the Philippine Marketing Manager (of sorts) for Google. He confirms the story here and posted job openings too. And I thought if ever they did open an office here, it would be to get some Adsense rep…

LG Watch Urbane: unboxed, in the flesh

Relevance: 72%      Posted on: June 28, 2015

Found this last piece of the LG Watch Urbane at Best Buy last week during our trip in San Francisco. This was released last March but have not set any local availability yet. Having owned and used the LG G Watch last year, I had a lot of expectations with the Watch Urbane. The LG Watch Urbane is basically the fancier and pricier version of the LG G Watch R. The Urbane viariant of the LG Watch series is positioned for the more fashionable crowd and devoid of the G-Shock type design of the first two smartwatches from LG. The…

Apple Watch officially announced!

After so many months of speculation, the iWatch has now materialized into the Apple Watch, something the company calls the next chapter. The Watch is designed for style, smartwatch functions and fitness. Apple restates the success they have been able to create throughout the years with the announcement of the iWatch, and now they're highlighting the Digital Crown, a mechanism that dictates the magnification of content on the small watch's display. Speaking of the display, Apple also calls it Retina, but this time flexible and is claimed to be able to sense force - all of this is protected by sapphire…
