Healthy competition drives prices down and at the end of the day, consumers win. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. If you check out their new ad, the listing already reflects the new price. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here. This could be a response to the SmartBro 3G Price Cuts on the prepaid kits (Php3,800). What's a bit curious though is the difference between the pricing schedule on overage for…

The starter kit costs Php4,500 (one time) with free setup fee. Likewise, Globe has terminated their Globe Visibility Unlimited plans (the one that costs Php3,000 a month for unlimited Mobile 3G internet). No explanation was given why…

Globe implements Load Watch for Prepaid Subs

This was shared to us by the folks from Globe Telecom last February 14 but I completely forgot about it. I only remembered it again when I used the prepaid SIM card they gave me to test on the HTC Titan. In any case, the concept is pretty simple -- you get an SMS alert every time you use your load credits. So when you make a phone call, once you hang up, Globe will send you an SMS how much load you have left. This will give you an idea of your running balance and be updated of your…
