How to Unlock your iPhone 3G

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: January 2, 2009

The biggest news for 2009 so far is the YellowSn0w unlocking application for the iPhone 3G. You can now insert any SIM card into your iPhone 3G -- good news for consumers, bad news for telcos. The "yellowsn0w" application works with the latest iPhone 3G modem firmware (02.28.00) so if your iPhone is not yet on 2.2, just hook it up on iTunes and upgrade it before unlocking. You will also need to jailbreak your phone first (by downloading and installing QuickPwn). Once that's done, you can now follow the unlocking procedures here. I have yet to do this on…

Globe now accepts iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Relevance: 93%      Posted on: August 16, 2010

The wait is, almost, over. Globe Telecom has opened iPhone 4 pre-orders in the Philippines this early. Now you can reserve your own iPhone 4, both the black and white models. Note: Correction. Turns out this is not a pre-order form but a form for those "interested in the iPhone 4". Seems a bit too detailed for a newsletter (email would have sufficed right?) you'd easily mistake it for a reg form. The actual pre-order form has yet to be announced or put up. Will update once actual pre-orders are announced. The Globe microsite did not say when the iPhone

This "registration of interest" page is to collect potential subscribers who wants to get the iPhone 5 on the very day it is released in the Philippines (the page is called Project Eden). You will…
