Relevance: 94%      Posted on: December 9, 2011

We haven't done an unboxing around here for a long time and I thought after getting a review unit of this upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I thought I'd re-introduce the tradition. So here it is, hot off the oven -- the Galaxy Nexus running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This is probably one of the very first few units to arrive in the Philippines and I've only been familiarizing myself with the unit for the last couple of hours. I have to day that despite being very familiar with Android Honeycomb, I was a bit confused on the first…

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: April 18, 2013

Samsung Philippines has finally set the date for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the Philippines. The date -- April 26, 2013, as per the exclusive invitation we just received. The Galaxy S4 was announced back in March 14 in New York. The Philippine launch is just 6 weeks after that, a fairly quick one if we may add. We've also been using the Galaxy S4 for about 2 weeks now and actually finished the review this week. We will publish it once we get more details on release and local pricing. You can read our review of…

Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus to retail for $649 on June 26

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: May 16, 2013

Google is re-introduing the Samsung Galaxy S4 and will package it as Nexus-like variant running on vanilla Android OS. That means there is no TouchWiz, just plain stock Android UI. This confirms our earlier report of the Galaxy S4 Google Edition. On the short side of things, that also means less features (or gimmicks, depending on how you view it). No gestures, eye-tracking, camera add-ons and all of Samsung's wiz. However, if you're not into S-Health & all of Samsung's extra software, you should definitely consider it. After all, on the plus side, you will get fast version updates and…

Not sure though why the release didn't push thru the other month. The Google Nexus S has been available in grey markets since January this year for Php35,000.…
