iPhone 6S may not receive Force Touch feature, only 6S Plus

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: April 3, 2015

Remember that article about a possible Force Touch feature to be seen on the next iPhone variants? Well it seems like the iPhone 6S Plus is the only one getting it according to recent rumors. A report citing industry insiders familiar with the operations said that there will be a supplier of Force Touch sensors designed for the iPhone 6S Plus with no mention of making its way into the smaller iPhone 6S. This is not unlikely since there are also certain features of the current iPhone 6 Plus that isn't seen on the iPhone 6 like optical image stabilization

X-Stand for the iPhone and iPod Touch

Relevance: 94%      Posted on: March 25, 2009

Been looking for something like this for some time now -- a portable stand for mobile phones. This particular model, XStand, is for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Made up of solid aluminum construction, the XStand by Just Mobile is perfect for the table top or even the dashboard of a car. The metal screw at the back can be adjusted so you can rotate the clamps to a full 360-degrees and orient the device at any angle. The aluminum body is heavy so it's very stable when placed on flat surfaces while the clamps are made of rubber…

WordPress for the iPhone & iPod Touch

Relevance: 92%      Posted on: July 23, 2008

Blogging just got better on the iPhone with WordPress for iPhone App at the iTunes Store. Or so I thought. Automattic has launched an iPhone App for WordPress. It's free and works with any version of iPhone or iPod Touch (as long as you have the version 2.0 of the iPhone software). It's not yet fully functional as one would expect when using WP. Items missing are adding links or remotely hosted images and using the usual paragraph formatting features. This App is more useful for editing entries rather than creating new ones. Grab the App here {via}.

GMate: Turn your iPod Touch to an iPhone

Relevance: 91%      Posted on: December 29, 2011

Yup, that's true. You can even turn your iPhone 4 to a dual-SIM phone too. Got this GMate by SkyRoam the other month but since my 4G iPod Touch and iPad2 have not been jailbroken, I wasn't able to use it. Since yesterday's release of the jailbreak for iOS 5, I've been using the GMate with my iPod Touch 4G. What GMate does is provide cellular functionality to an iPod Touch, iPad or even the iPhone. The cellular service includes phone calls, SMS and mobile internet (just EDGE though). The GMate connects to the iDevices via Bluetooth, has it's own…

Together with the launch of the iPhone 3G, Apple also released the iPhone 2.0 Software for the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Though it's a free upgrade for iPhone users, there's a $9.95 price for iPod Touch owners. So I forked out the $9.95 to see what this update and the App Store is all about. You will need the new iTunes 7.7 in order to download and install the iPhone 2.0 Software Update which is over 200MB. Your iPhone/Ipod Touch will be restored to factory settings when the new software updates. After your unit is reset, the additional are…

Apple testing Force Touch, pink color on new iPhone

Relevance: 85%      Posted on: March 11, 2015

If a waterproof iPhone 6 doesn't suit your interests, how about a pink-colored one? A new report from the Wall Street Journal suggests that Apple is currently testing a new pink color option for the new iPhone, along with a Force Touch function for its display screens.   The new color, according to the Wall Street Journal, will be sold along with the Gold, Space Gray, and Silver models when the Cupertino giant debuts its successor to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus this fall. Design changes to the smartphone itself may be minimal since Apple keeps their designs on a two-year scale,…

Late last week, app developer Eric Castro teased his upcoming project called BioUnlock which can be used to unlock a Mac through the iPhone 5S’ Touch ID. The BioUnlock works by connecting the handset and Mac on the same Wi-Fi network. Users will then have to register a separate fingerprint for the Mac, on top of the one assigned to unlock the iPhone. Here’s a quick video of BioUnlock in action: According to Eric, he’s planning to include Bluetooth support on the BioUnlock’s arsenal, as well as support for Windows platform. Mr. Castro claims that his nifty tweak should be…

iPhone 5S’ Touch ID can also detect… nipples?!

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: September 22, 2013

Just moments after Apple lifted the wraps off their new flagship handset; we did a whole segment about its new feature called Touch ID which allows user to register their fingerprint and use that to unlock the phone. What we missed to point out, however, is that it can also scan other parts of the body including… nipples. If you think that’s surprising (or amusing), wait till you here this. As it turns out, the structure of our nipples is as unique as our fingerprint. Therefore, if by any chance you registered your nipple using Touch ID and somebody tries…
