Sim Lim shops running scams on customers

Our recent visit to Singapore over the week-end got us scouring around the shops of Sim Lim and Funan Digital IT Mall. Sim Lim has been a favorite gadget mall since a lot of stores carry new and interesting gadgets where you can haggle for discounts. Our recent visit was totally different though.

iPad Mini arrives in SG, we go hands-on

We arrived today here in Singapore to attend the launching of HTC’s Windows Phone 8 handsets as well as the upgraded HTC One X+. We managed to visit an Apple reseller store at the Changi airport to buy us an iPad Mini.

iPhone 5 hits grey market for Php47k, November for telcos

The first batch of iPhone 5 will be released in 9 countries today. This includes neighboring countries such as Singapore and Hong Kong. Grey market shipments will also arrive in the Philippine tomorrow with a staggering street price of Php47k.

In January 1 of this year, we predicted that Cebu Pacific will offer WiFi internet service in their flights. Well, it looks like our prediction came true with Cebu Pacific announcing a partnership with OnAir to offer in-flight WiFi service.

From my the first Apple Store I ever visited in Hamburg, the second one I went into was the one inside the Louvre Museum in Paris. Yeah, I know — this little Eurotrip is already becoming an Apple Store pilgrimage.
