Apple has finally announced today that the iPhone 5 will be available in more than 50 countries on December 14 which includes the Philippines. Details from the press release after the jump.

The iPhone 4S has just started pre-selling in Singapore so we’re thinking the Philippines could be next (based on last year’s trend, this could be 3 to 4 weeks). The starting price — SGD948, just over Php32k for the 16GB model. That’s about Php2k more expensive than last year.

I got to check out the iPhone 4 yesterday and, once again, today with Art (@artsamaniego) and we placed it side by side the Samsung Galaxy S and the HTC Desire — then comparing the Retina Display, AMOLED and Super AMOLED display of the three.
