6th Gen iPod Nano goes full touch-screen

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: September 2, 2010

Apple also re-designed the iPod Nano 6G and added a touch screen on a squarish form factor (reminds me of the 3rd generation fatty nano) that lends a touch of inspiration from the Shuffle two generations ago. iPod Nano 6th-generation : 1.54-inch TFT display @ 240x240 pixel resolution Multi-touch screen Accelerometer FM Radio Pedometer The Nano can last up to 24 hours of music playback but it looks like it has lost the ability to play videos, a feature that was introduced 3 generations before this one. This is probably the most radical change in a product line Apple has…

Unboxing: iPod Nano, 7th Generation

Relevance: 98%      Posted on: October 25, 2012

Along with the 5th-gen iPod Touch that we bought last week, we also got the new 7th-generation iPod Nano. It's a totally redesigned iPod that Apple created from the previous generation. The 7th gen model somewhat resembles the older 5th generation, rather than the 6th gen model because of its candy-bar form factor. What was taken from the features of the 6th gen was the touchscreen capability. The 7th-gen iPod Nano is the thinnest Nano yet and the 2.5-inch touchscreen has a resolution of 240x432 (202ppi). That's a bit bigger then the squarish screen of the 6th-gen but with a…

Aside from the iPhone 5, Apple also introduced the next generation of iPod touch and nano. Now with massive upgrades and new designs. Apple just released a new pack of iPod Nanos in 5 different colors and thinner. A new 8GB size capacity was also introduced with prices starting at $149. They're soo eeriely similar to the iPod Mini. The iPod Video now comes in 80GB wiping out the old 60GB. The iPod SHuffle got much much smaller too! Sold at $79 at 1GB capacity. More here. I don't know if I should be happy or not that I bought a 2GB black Nano at the Taiwan Duty Free Shop last week.

Hands on with the new 8GB iPod Nano

Official release of the new line of iPods in the Philippines is reported to be this October but several units have already been spotted in stores. Here's the new iPod Nano 8GB I just got from my favorite store. And they tell me they sells like hotcakes. Originally, I thought these 3rd generation of the iPod Nano were a little anatomically disproportionate (fat and stubby). Only after actually getting my hands on one did I realize that the form factor makes good sense. And it's much thinner too. For an 8GB music and video player, it justifies the wider girth…

5G iPod Nano Video in the flesh

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: September 18, 2009

Yesterday, Apple reps flew in to show the media their new line-up of iPods. Of the lot, the iPod Nano 5G took the spotlight with a number of new features, including a 0.3 megapixel video camera. With a bigger screen (2.2-inches vs. 2-inches) and much more features, the iPod Nano 5G will continue to be the most top-selling iPod in the line. Odd thing though is that the VGA video camera can only record videos and cannot take still photos. Apple execs say it's because people only liked/wanted taking and sharing videos, not photos. Included is a microphone and speakers…
