What’s the iPhone 4s price with Globe? We Speculate.

Whatever you think of the iPhone 4S, it will still be a huge hit and demands will most likely exceed supply (just like how it happened with the iPhone 4). But before we say if it’s really worthy buy or not, we still need to know how much it will cost once it lands in the Philippines.

Apple iPad 2 Review

Just when we thought the iPad could not get any better, Apple released yet another one. Though naming it the iPad 2 does not carry that Apple flair (easy to guess the next generation will be called iPad 3), it easily banked on the brand’s super-popularity. Check out our full review of the Apple iPad 2 after the jump.

iPod Nano 4th gen Review

When the new 4G iPod Nano was revealed, it didn’t made a positive impression on me. It wasn’t anything new at all. Still, I had to give it the benefit of the doubt and take it on a road test (I even got the “4GB collector’s edition” *heh*).

Apple fanboys burned by $200 price cuts.

What does Steve Jobs give in return for the hundreds of thousands of Apple fanboys who lined up and bought the iPhone eleven weeks ago? A $200 price cut to those who didn’t fall in line. Now, that’s a PR disaster Apple didn’t expect from yesterday’s announcement.

Apple iPhone finally announced

At the CES MacWorld just moments ago, Steve Jobs announced the highly speculated Apple iPhone. Looks like a sleekly iPod Nano with nothing but screen space:

iPhone

The feature that Jobs is claiming to solve the usability problem — no keypad. Just pure digital real estate. It’s currently only tied with Cingular though.

Apple iPhone

Some basic specs:

OSX operating system
3.5 inch wide screen
2 megapixel camera
bluetooth
WiFi
GSM Radio + EDGE
8GB capacity
proximity sensor (so your face won’t accidentally press the buttons)
switch from portrait to landscape screen layout
built-in speaker
run Safari browser

This thing is a little expensive — $499 for the 4GB and $599 for the 8GB. Expect the prices here in the Philippines will be more than that (somewhere around Php30k & Php40k respectively) if it will even reach the country when it ships this June.

One thing they forgot to mention was how long the battery life would be — standby time and call time.

iPod Prices in the Philippines

One way in retaining accidental visitors to your blog via search engines is to direct them to what they’re looking for. In SEO, they call it landing pages, right?

Here’s an example. If you search for “iPod prices in the Philippines“, my blog is ranked #1 in Google and in Yahoo. However, that page which is ranked doesn’t give any good info about the current prices of iPods in the Philippines.

iPod Pricing

So, what I’ll do is to write a new post giving exactly such information. I personally went to Mall of Asia and visited Apple Center to get the prices.

iPod prices dropped; iPod Photo, no more.

ipodsEarly today, Apple has announced that it has (again) reshuffled it’s entire line of iPods. The price of iPod Shuffle 1GB has been slashed by $20, iPod 60GB is down by $50 and the Special Edition 20GB U2 is now $329 ($20 less). I am sure that local prices will follow suit and official iPod stores around the metro will be holding another iPod sale (probably with BPI SIP).

Likewise, Apple has now dropped the word “Photo” altogether making the entire series with color screen and able to view photos. The iPod 30Gb is no more while the old 20GB has been upgraded to color at the same old price. The U2 version has now a color screen and able to view pictures. Related story from iPodLounge.

It’s kinda irritating now that Apple constantly upgrades the iPod generation so quickly. It keeps me wanna buy a new one (now craving for the 20 GB U2). My iPod Photo 40 GB is now 2 generations obsolete and I only bought it last March thru a BPI sale. I already changed iPods 3 times in the last 6 months!

In the Philippines, old generation iPods have actually been on sale and cna be had between Php18,000 to Php20,000. I have also seen iPod nanos selling for about Php12,500 for the 2GB version and around Php15k for the 4GB version. The iPod video is also for sale at around Php19,5000. Check out your iPod dealers.
