Cheap iPod battery replacement at CDR King

Was looking for DVI/HDMI cables and adaptors last night and I thought CDR King might have them. They didn’t have them but I was surprised with the newer stock of gadget accessories they have — iPod replacement batteries.

And they’re pretty cheap too — prices starts at Php350 for the iPod Shuffle to Php400 for the newer generation iPod Videos.

I also checked their website and they got it on display. The prices are so low they’re almost as cheap as the other cellphone batteries along the sidewalks and half as much as generic batteries for my Canon dSLR.

Now, if I could get a cheap generic HDD for the iPod, I could revive my old 4th gen player altogether.

One way in retaining accidental visitors to your blog via search engines is to direct them to what they’re looking for. In SEO, they call it landing pages, right?

Here’s an example. If you search for “iPod prices in the Philippines“, my blog is ranked #1 in Google and in Yahoo. However, that page which is ranked doesn’t give any good info about the current prices of iPods in the Philippines.

Encyclopodia is a free software project that brings the Wikipedia, which is one of the largest encyclopedias on the world, on the Apple iPod MP3-Player. It has been successfully tested on a third-generation iPod and on an iPod mini, but it should also work on other iPod generations.

The Installation Wizard works just fine with my 4th gen iPod Photo. The encyclopedia library though was a huge download — 753MB.

Navigation is a little hard since you’re stuck with the click wheel to select each letter of the word you’re searching for. Then, there’s no backlight.
