Poll: Which iPod are you?

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: August 28, 2008

Reports say that the iPod Nano is the most popular of all the Apple media player line. That's maybe because when it first came out, it was the cheapest iPod at that time. Now that there are more than half a dozen models, I'd like to see which iPod people buy. Thus, the poll "Which iPod are you?" Choices are as follows: iPod Shuffle iPod Nano iPod Classic iPod Touch iPhone I have another MP3 player I don't have one Please head on to out poll section on the sidebar and cast your vote. Also leave a comment on why…

Apple quietly drops iPod Classic from Online Store

Relevance: 93%      Posted on: September 12, 2014

We saw this coming but Apple has finally given up on the iPod Classic. During the site refresh that Apple did just after the new iPhone 6 was announced, all Apple Online Stores have removed the iPod Classic from their listings. This is literally puts an end to the era of hard-drive-based iPod Classic. The media player has not been re-designed for several years and sales of the iPod Classic have also declined due to newer models like the iPod Touch. There were 6 generations of the iPod Classic (originally just called the iPod) with the latest one having 160GB…

iPod prices dropped; iPod Photo, no more.

Relevance: 92%      Posted on: June 29, 2005

Early today, Apple has announced that it has (again) reshuffled it's entire line of iPods. The price of iPod Shuffle 1GB has been slashed by $20, iPod 60GB is down by $50 and the Special Edition 20GB U2 is now $329 ($20 less). I am sure that local prices will follow suit and official iPod stores around the metro will be holding another iPod sale (probably with BPI SIP). Likewise, Apple has now dropped the word "Photo" altogether making the entire series with color screen and able to view photos. The iPod 30Gb is no more while the old 20GB…

Apple unveils new iPod Touch and iPod Nano

Relevance: 92%      Posted on: September 13, 2012

Aside from the iPhone 5, Apple also introduced the next generation of iPod touch and nano. Now with massive upgrades and new designs. The new iPod touch or let's say the iPod touch 5th generation is now way more powerful than its predecessor. It now has a 5 megapixel iSight camera with LED flash that can record 1080p HD videos and can shoot panoramic images, a 4-inch Retina display, dual-core A5 processors, thinner and lighter than the previous iPod touch, Siri, iOS 6, and it's all housed in an anodized aluminum body that comes in five different colors (black, raw…

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: September 18, 2008

Though local availability of the new line of iPod Nano, iPod Touch and the 120GB Classic is still sparse, their prices have been made available on most Apple reseller stores. Just got the adjusted pricing of the new models. iPod Shuffle 1 GB - Php2,490 2 GB - Php3,490 iPod Nano 8 GB - Php7,500 16 GB - Php9,990 iPod Touch 8 GB - Php11,990 16 GB - Php15,500 32 GB - Php19,990 iPod Classic 120 GB - Php12,300 Got hold of the new iPod Nano and the curvy edges doesn't seem to appeal much to my design senses. I…

The new colors of the iPod Nano

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: September 13, 2006

Apple just released a new pack of iPod Nanos in 5 different colors and thinner. A new 8GB size capacity was also introduced with prices starting at $149. They're soo eeriely similar to the iPod Mini. The iPod Video now comes in 80GB wiping out the old 60GB. The iPod SHuffle got much much smaller too! Sold at $79 at 1GB capacity. More here. I don't know if I should be happy or not that I bought a 2GB black Nano at the Taiwan Duty Free Shop last week.

iPod Shuffle 3G: Unboxing Photos

Relevance: 89%      Posted on: March 24, 2009

Apple sent in a review unit of the new iPod Shuffle 3G. Though obviously lacking the usual control buttons, I'm still a bit amused at how small this iPod is (compared to the older generation Shuffles). See tons of unboxing photos after the jump. In the box: earphones with controls, short USB and iPod Shuffle. The cable of the earphones are a little different from the old ones (this one is more rubbery).

Encyclopodia – encyclopedia on your iPod

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: March 2, 2006

Get the whole Wikipedia into your iPod! Encyclopodia is a free software project that brings the Wikipedia, which is one of the largest encyclopedias on the world, on the Apple iPod MP3-Player. It has been successfully tested on a third-generation iPod and on an iPod mini, but it should also work on other iPod generations. The Installation Wizard works just fine with my 4th gen iPod Photo. The encyclopedia library though was a huge download -- 753MB. Navigation is a little hard since you're stuck with the click wheel to select each letter of the word you're searching for. Then,…

White iPod Touch debuts, skips the upgrade

Relevance: 87%      Posted on: October 5, 2011

Along with the announcement of the iPhone 4S, the iPod Touch also got a minor update with a new White model now included in the line-up. Sadly, there are no hardware upgrades on this one. Was hoping it would get the same specs as the iPad 2 but all they did was paint it all white. The price looks the same in the US with the 8GB model starting at $199, 32GB at $299 and the 64GB at $399. In the Apple Philippines Online Store, the figures are a bit skewed and somewhat more expensive than last year's price. iPod
