We got the word from Smart’s External Relations Manager for Public Affairs (Wo Rosete) that the telco will start accepting pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 23, 2012. This is smack right in the middle of our original May 22-24 launch date we got from Samsung Philippines.

HP Envy Spectre in the flesh, priced Php116,990

With the short time we had in London, the only place I was able to visit to buy some stuff was Harrod’s and was fortunately see get a good look at the HP Spectre in one of the shops there. Turns out, the HP Envy Spectre is already available and being sold in the Philippines.

Promac Pro-One: Good quality, entry level earphones

Promac has been around since Diosdado Macapagal was still the President of the Philippines (talk about history). Ever since then they have providing budget friendly products with uncompromised quality. Now they reemerge with a set of inexpensive earphones that doesn’t look or sound cheap. Sony Xperia S Review

So the Sony and Ericsson affair has finally ended and the mobile tech world is waiting for Sony to reveal its pure blood offspring the way they would for the next pope. What Sony has released from its labs is far from anything that resembles a PlayStation-loving teenager. Belkin N300 and N150 Wireless N Routers

The folks from MSI-ECS sent us a couple of their new Belkin Wireless N routers to try out. The cheaper one, the N150, promises LAN speeds of up to 150Mbps while the faster one, the N300, can do up to 300Mbps on the local wireless network. We tested them out to see if they can do just that.

Asus Zenbook UX31 Review

The first time I personally saw the Asus Zenbook, I knew it would be my next laptop (the last two I bought were all Macbook Airs). And while ultrabooks are still in their infancy stage, they’ve already sparked interest and awe to the point of being an aspirational device.
