Dell’s new ultrabook is this superthin Dell XPS 13 which uses an edge-to-edge Gorilla Glass display (frameless!). The Macbook Air look-alike is 6mm thin at its thinnest base and weighs only 2.99lbs.

Now that we’ve personally seen and held the Asus Zenbook UX21, I can personally make a comparison between this one and the Macbook Air. And I have to admit it — it’s very hard not to compare the two because of the striking similarities.

We got this Acer Aspire S3 ultrabook this morning. It was a prize from last week’s raffle by Acer Philippines during the launch event of the Aspire S3, one of the first ultrabook to be released in the country.
Acer has finally introduced its Macbook Air counterpart with the Acer Aspire S3 ultrabook — a 1.3cm super-thin laptop.
We’ve been using MSI’s newest monster gaming laptop, the MSI GT-780R, for the past 2 weeks and enjoying it a lot so far. Not only did they put everything they can think of inside the rig but also added some really sleek exterior features as well.
If this leaked images of the upcoming Acer Aspire 3951 is any indication, then the Macbook Air has yet another competitor in the high-end (they refer to it as ultrabook) segment.
The refresh of the new 11.6″ and 13.3″ Macbook Air last July 2011 has introduced more powerful Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors into the line-up. I got the 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD Core i5 Macbook Air 11.6″ to test out. See full review after the jump.
