Sony Xperia S Review

So the Sony and Ericsson affair has finally ended and the mobile tech world is waiting for Sony to reveal its pure blood offspring the way they would for the next pope. What Sony has released from its labs is far from anything that resembles a PlayStation-loving teenager. Carrying a 4.3” HD screen under a piano black glass that is mounted on a poly-carbonate black-matte body, they have sent out a man in an Armani suit. Globe Tattoo Superstick now up to 7Mbps

Don’t exactly know when they rolled this out but just saw that Globe Telecom has upgraded their Tattoo Superstick and now offers up to 7Mbps on the WiFi device. They’re still offering the Globe MyFi but that’s just up to 3.6Mbps or 5Mbps depending on your postpaid plan.

I have been told by a reliable source that the Huawei E586 could be the pocket WiFi used by Smart for the Rocket WiFi Plus. The press release says it’s going to ride on their HSPA+ network so this looks like it.

Checking out HSPA+ networks in Hong Kong

We’re spending a night here in Hong Kong and on our way to China to visit the manufacturing plants of GE/Agfa tomorrow. So instead of getting hotel WiFi, I also bought a prepaid SIM card and paired it with the ZTE MF60 just to check how’s the HSPA+ networks are like around here.
