In the line-up is the flagship model which is the Sony Bravia HX855 which uses the X-Reality Pro technology. Smart caps Mobile Internet @ 1.5GB/month

Relevance: 96%      Posted on: December 23, 2010

This is the first time I was able to read Smart's Fair Use Policy on Mobile Internet Use and was surprised to see that their cap on unlimited mobile internet is just 1.5GB per month. A reader was asking for some clarifications about Smart's Samsung Galaxy Tab and the accompanying unlimited mobile internet. After a quick search on Smart's website, I discovered that they only allow up to 1.5GB of bandwidth per month. Once the cap is reached, they will throttle you down to a slower (yet unknown) speed. And here's the catch: The 1.5GB allocation of the Fair Use…

Talk N’ Text now offers Php6 per hour mobile internet

Relevance: 86%      Posted on: September 9, 2014

Talk N Text is now offering the most affordable mobile internet subscription by offering Php1 per 10 minutes mobile subscription. This effectively puts the hourly rate at just Php6.00. There's a catch though to this very cheap internet rate -- subscribers are blocked from using video streaming sites and P2P networks. Dubbed “PisoNet,” Smart’s new mobile Internet offer will be initially available to Talk ’N Text (TNT) subscribers and shall allow access to all apps and websites on mobile phones for only P1 per 10 minutes, with the exception of video streaming sites and file-sharing activities. PisoNet will soon be…

Research shows that over 40% of Filipinos are satisfied with their mobile internet speed

Relevance: 86%      Posted on: August 5, 2014

Now here’s something you don’t see every day. According to a recent study conducted by On Device Research, 41-percent of the 900 respondents that they’ve interviewed are happy with the speed of their mobile internet connection, and only a quarter are pissed about theirs. 41-percent seems like a good number on paper, but if we take a closer look at the data, it shows that 59%, or 3 out of 5 respondents are either feeling ‘meh’ or unsatisfied with the current internet speed in the country. This means that the two biggest telcos in the country, Smart and Globe, still…

Poll: What’s the best mobile internet plan for you?

Relevance: 82%      Posted on: July 25, 2011

I think it's good that we have so many options for mobile internet plans nowadays. It used to be one-plan, one-pricing before but now there's just too many to even memorize all. Globe, Smart and Sun have their own versions of unlimited surfing for daily, weekly and monthly plans. They even have unlimited plans for site-specific access like Twitter, Facebook, etc. Now there's also bucket-pricing for volume-based surfing. Whether you're on prepaid or postpaid, I'm sure a lot of us have a unique usage pattern to warrant a specific plan. And that's what we want to know with this poll.…
