Here’s an update for those who were waiting for the official release of the of Samsung Galaxy Note in the Philippines. According to official sources, the Galaxy Note will have a sale on November 19, 2011 for the initial 300 units that were shipped to the Philippines.

Looks like Smart Comm. grabbed the exclusive rights to sell the Nokia N9 in the Philippines, according to @Jump_Center in a tweet to us a few minutes ago.
Nokia has just posted a press release stating that the Meego-powered Nokia N9 has started shipping to stores and customers who pre-ordered it. While the shipments does not yet include the Philippines, we’re hoping it will be a matter of weeks (if not a month) before we’d see the N9 hitting local stores.
We got this dummy unit of the Nokia N9 shipped from Shenzen yesterday. It’s just a replica and doesn’t really come close to the real thing (seen it up close during the launch event in Singapore).
Since Research in Motion (RIM) is taking a long time to release the BlackBerry Bold 9900 in the Philippines, grey-market sellers are making a killing with these handsets by directly importing them from the US.
