Microsoft Windows 8 Beta Consumer Preview

So I’ve finally installed the Beta version of Windows 8 on our Sony Vaio P. This device has come a long way and has served us very well ever since we got it. This ultra-portable netbook originally came pre-installed with Windows Vista Starter, and then was upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and now Windows 8 Beta.

Nokia N9 unboxed, in the flesh, 2nd impressions

The Nokia N9 arrived at my doorstep yesterday along with the Nokia 701 but I only got to unbox it today since I spent the night at a hotel reviewing Samsung’s 60-inch LED Smart TV. Posted my first impressions here back in June so this unboxing comes with the second impression.

We got this dummy unit of the Nokia N9 shipped from Shenzen yesterday. It’s just a replica and doesn’t really come close to the real thing (seen it up close during the launch event in Singapore).

Nokia N9 Video Teaser Ad

This latest teaser video of the supposed Nokia N9 (or Nokia N950) gives us a better look at the upcoming Meego device Nokia is preparing to launch. Looking very similar to the Nokia E7, the N9 could very well be the successor to the Meego-powered Nokia N900 (and thus a possible N950 label).
