I’ve been using smartphones for more than half a decade now having tried almost all types of smartphones except for one, the BlackBerry. Five years ago, BlackBerry would be synonymous to enterprise phones. An ordinary consumer wouldn’t even dare to get one. But now, it’s totally different. You’d see normal people carrying a BlackBerry even if they don’t have an Outlook email. “CrackBerries” are so addicted with their phones. Nokia yesterday demoed two of their “Touch & Type” line of mobile handsets — the Nokia X3 Touch & Type and the Nokia C3-01 Touch & Type, both of which has a physical alphanumeric keyboard and a resistive touch screen.
Announced back in April, the Nokia E5 is the latest E-series smartphone and now available in stores and has a suggested retail price of Php14,950.
The popular and affordable qwerty phone, Nokia C3, now has a sibling and they called it the Nokia C3-01 Touch & Type — the second of its kind after the Nokia X3 Touch & Type back in August.
When Nokia announced that they will release a new qwerty phone early this year, I said meh. A full qwerty phone with an old OS (Symbian 40), no 3G and a 2MP camera, what could go right? My view changed when Nokia announced the price. See our full review of the Nokia C3 after the jump.

According to several retail stores I asked in the malls, the Nokia C3 will arrive next week and will have a price of around Php7,290 (cheapest I surveyed but there’s a sale on Saturday).
During this afternoon’s virtual event, Nokia introduced 3 new messaging devices, two of which are members of the new C-series of handsets.
