Smart Data Plan 1000 vs. Unli Data Plan 2000

Smart today announced a new data plan for postpaid subscribers, the Smart Limited-Edition Data Plan 1000. Although it’s just a limited-edition plan and is only offered until May 15, 2012, the new data plan compliments the existing Plan 2000 which comes with free choice of a flagship handset.

The recent report of Chile implementing the mandatory unlocking of all phones that are sold in the country this month got me thinking if this is possible in the Philippines. Of course it’s possible but I doubt it will be happening anytime soon.

64GB Nokia N9 selling for SGD800 in Singapore

Was able to visit Sim Lim last night to catch up on stuff and maybe able to spot some new gadgets. Nothing new in there except for the SE Xperia Arc S (which I already have waiting for me in Manila) and the Nokia N9 (which I now carry as a secondary phone).

Nokia N9 now shipping, price starts at Php28.5k

Nokia has just posted a press release stating that the Meego-powered Nokia N9 has started shipping to stores and customers who pre-ordered it. While the shipments does not yet include the Philippines, we’re hoping it will be a matter of weeks (if not a month) before we’d see the N9 hitting local stores.
