Once turned on, it produces its own WiFi signal which you can connect to with your iPhone (or any iOS device). Download the free WeMo Baby app in the iTunes Store and use it to connect to the device. While you're…

From a record-breaking mod, let’s switch out attention something that’s a little pleasing to the eye. Shinji2k has recently uploaded the fruit of his year-long effort to come up with a kick-ass custom PC from scratch. And the end-result, which is called Baby Moon, was nothing short of outstanding and truly worth all the wait. According to Shinji2k, the inspiration (and the name) for his project came after picking up some chrome hubcaps dubbed as “Baby Moons”. He started posting mock ups of his project back in July of last year and since then has painstakingly created each piece from…

Relevance: 74%      Posted on: October 20, 2013

Some people go to the extremes to buy things for themselves, but nothing is more extreme than what this Chinese couple did who apparently auctioned off their own offspring and went on to buy an expensive pair of sneakers and an iPhone. This ruthless couple, identified only by the media as Mr. Teng and Ms. Zhang, is facing criminal charges in Shanghai for their sinister deed. In their defense, the couple claims that “We did not give the baby away for money but in order to give it more security.” However, the prosecuting panel isn’t buying into their alibi and…

Just got back from Boracay, via Kalibo, Aklan hoping we could get a glance of what their Ati-Atihan Festival would look like. But alas, the heavy traffic, crowded streets and heavy baggage prevented us from doing so. Here's some quick picks from the Bora gallery I'm currently uploading. Taken using my Canon Rebel XT with the Canon 50mm F/1.8 & 10-22mm F/3.5 It helps if you understand or speak the local dialect so the kids won't be too shy to get their pics taken. At first, I just take shots before even asking them but it turns out you're gonna…

Experiencing any problems with FireFox?

Relevance: 23%      Posted on: December 22, 2005

Been having problems with FireFox lately. It's been freezing and it's very erratic. Not sure why but it just does that when ever I load pages. Then it just stops responding. I usually had to end the application and process in task manager before I can fire it up again. I checked for updates and there was none. When that happens, I often switch to my second browser of choice -- Flock. If only Flock had the same extension features like FireFox, I might be using it more often. Good thing I have the session saver extension installed in FireFox…

AdSense for PhotoBlogs

Relevance: 22%      Posted on: November 2, 2005

A lot of people have this opinion that PhotoBlogs or Photo Galleries would not go well with Adsense since there aren't enough readable text (by GoogleBot) for contextual advertisements. While I may partly agree to that opinion, I believe it is still possible to get significant earnings from AdSense thru PhotoBlogs and Photo Galleries. In the recent months that I have integrated AdSense with my Photo Gallery, I noticed several trends and user behaviors that significantly affects click-through rates. Here are some fo my observations: Your gallery or photoblog should have text descriptions and tags. These are the ones that…

Launched just yesterday is the newest line of Macbooks from Apple and the best thing is that it also comes in black which got me drooling all morning. This baby is a little bigger than its iBook/Powerbook predecessor at 13.3" glossy widescreen, comes with an Intel Core Duo (1.83GHz and 2.0 Ghz) and up to 2GB of RAM. Price starts at $1,099. Now that there's also the dual-boot feature, one can never say no with the MacBook. More of it at the Apple Store. [tags]apple, mac, macbook, laptop, portable, intel, core duo, review[/tags]
