Cebu Pacific to offer in-flight WiFi service

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: July 3, 2012

In January 1 of this year, we predicted that Cebu Pacific will offer WiFi internet service in their flights. Well, it looks like our prediction came true with Cebu Pacific announcing a partnership with OnAir to offer in-flight WiFi service. This make Cebu Pacific the first in the country (and probably one of the first few airlines in region as well) to have internet service during flights. Once Internet OnAir is in service, Cebu Pacific passengers will be able to access the Internetduring flights and make calls using Voice Over IP applications, using their Wi-Fi enabled personal electronic devices, such…

We just took a Cebu Pacific flight from Manila to Taiwan this evening to attend the annual Computex exhibition in Taipei. We already knew and reported about Cebu Pacific rolling out in-flight WiFi on some of their international flights but this is the first time we were able to try it out. The service is offered by OnAir which we already tried before in another flight (Delta Airlines). The WiFi service is based on bandwidth allocation and costs $5 for 25MB and $10 for 50MB. Payment is via credit card. We tried it to see how fast the WiFi was…

Relevance: 61%      Posted on: February 9, 2006

If any of you have ever tried booking online for a domestic flight from Cebu Pacific, lucky you. I have been trying to get a reservation for plane tickets the whole day without success. Cebu Pacific has this new e-Ticketing feature on their website which promises hassle-free traveling, or so they say. Cebu Pacific now lets you fly without a paper ticket. When you buy a Cebu Pacific e-Ticket, we electronically store your ticket information in our computer system instead of issuing you a paper ticket, so you won't need to worry about losing something that's non-replaceable. Scheduling was ok,…

Relevance: 59%      Posted on: April 28, 2007

The Band of Bloggers flew to Cebu last night aboard the Cebu Pacific Airlines. We're now en route to Tagbilaran, Bohol for our 3-day tour. The Macalua strikes again with his series of unfortunate events and misses our flight. I hope he gets an earful from the Sharmskee. They'll be catching up early today and hopefully with no more misfortunes. We spent the night at Cebu City thinking we could burn the night away at some bar (Tapas Lounge) without sleep then head on to the SuperCat port for the first early morning trip. We also met several Cebu bloggers.…

We've already done a comparison here before (flagship vs Smart), but since I haven't personally been to those, I'm writing this from scratch and based on my first experience. Gen 3 has been around for quite some time now, co-designed by Eight CEO Tim Kobe who engineered Apple Store designs. The main idea behind the stores revolve around…
