Relevance: 100%      Posted on: April 22, 2005

PLDT DSL, PLDT DSL, PLDT myDSL, PLDT DSL, PLDT myDSL Looks like the stories are true. I just checked my PLDT DSL speed at home last night and I was averaging around 480Kbps. That means my previous 386Kbps connection now tops at 512Kbps. Here's the supposed upgrade that was recently made by PLDT. 512Kbps / 256Kbps for plan 1995 768Kbps / 384Kbps for plan 2500 1mbps / 384Kbps for plan 3000 You can call them up at 171 to confirm this. If you're not into calling, they also have another Unli Text Plan 299 just for unlimited texting. The plan also comes with a free handset (Samsung E1080 or Nokia C1-01). The unlimited calls and text are applicable within Smart's own network (Red, TnT and Smart). For only P299 a month, UNLI Text Plan 299 is the perfect entry-level postpaid package for heavy texters. Smart’s Unli BB Plan 549 to compete with Globe BB Max

Relevance: 96%      Posted on: January 9, 2012

According to a source that talked to a Smart CS, the carrier is about to introduce a new Smart Unli BB Plan 549 that will directly compete with Globe's BlackBerry Max 599. The Smart Unli BB Plan 549 isn't up yet on the Smart website but it is now being offered as retention plan to subscribers. The current BlackBerry Unlimited Data Plan on Smart is set at Php1,200 per month. The Unli BB Plan 549 will definitely undercut the Php599 pricing with Globe BlackBerry Max package. If you're on the Smart All-In Plan, the Unli BB Plan 549 can be…

Smart starts capping Data Plans from Unli to 18GB

Relevance: 91%      Posted on: November 9, 2014

With the introduction of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Smart's postpaid plans, the telco has also imposed data caps on mobile internet. This was recently revealed during their announcement of the new postpaid plans. What used to be Unli Data Plan 2000 and Unli Data Plan 3000 has been changed to reflect the data caps. Both postpaid plans are now just Data Plan 2000 with 10GB cap and Data Plan 3000 with 18GB cap, shedding the term unli altogether. For the dedicated iPhone Plan 999, the monthly cap is 3.5GB while iPhone Plan 1799 has 8GB monthly…

PLDT’s Php10/call permanent

Relevance: 91%      Posted on: January 5, 2006

Well, that's a rather nice surprise! By January 7, 2006, PLDT will be making their Php10 per call a permanent feature for all its landline subscribers. All you need to do now is activate this fetaure by calling 10-10-10 and paying an extra Php50 for your monthly subscription fee. The Php10 per call covers all PLDT landline to PLDT landline NDD calls and PLDT landline to Smart mobile phones. I believe calls from Smart mobile phone sto PLDT landline phones will still use the same old rates though. Like the previous promo, it does not also cover PLDT landline NDD…

Anyone else running PLDT WatchPad?

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: November 6, 2009

I got this DVD installer in the mail last week for PLDT WatchPad. Been seeing the ads as well on TV lately and was wondering if this is a free or paid service from PLDT to all its myDSL subscribers. Are there other PLDT myDSL subscribers getting their DVD installers in the mail too? I read that this is available if you subscribe to myDSL Plan 999, 1995 and 3000. This is streaming video so only makes sense for PLDT to offer it to high-bandwidth plans. Available channels include PBO, CNBC, MTV, GO, Animax, CNN, GMA7, Cartoon Network and National…

PLDT myDSL DNS Problems

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: October 16, 2006

For several days now, we've been experiencing some erratic and widespread DNS problems with PLDT myDSL. I think Smart 3G/GPRS is also affected with it, although my Smart Bro is working fine. We've also received numerous reports of the same -- random sites not showing up or loading. The issue has been reported to PLDT Customer Support and though they're not confirming the problems, all efforts to correct the problem failed. So, until now, PLDT hasn't resolve the issue and we get all of the heat from hosting clients. Anybody else experiencing similar problems with their DSL providers?

Smart to PLDT Landline Piso-per-minute

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: January 18, 2006

Just saw an advertisement on TV (that Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino tandem again) about the new Smart call pricing at Php10 per 10 minutes. That's basically php1 per minute of call time. I think it used to be Php8 plus toll charges. This went out as PLDT came out with a regular rate of Php10 per call for all NDD (National Direct Dialing) connections, the same time that Smart is rabidly pushing for their 3iG services. On top of that, the recent PLDT promo of Php840 fixed MSF for a bundled PLDT line and unlimited PLDT Vibe connection is…
