Relevance: 100%      Posted on: May 12, 2015

Now this is something that some fitness buffs would like to have at home - a stationary bike that not only helps you stay in shape but also washes your clothes at the same time - the Bike Washing Machine. Designed by the students at Dalian Nationalities University in China, the Bike Washing Machine or the B.W.M., is an offspring of a stationary bike and a washing machine. Instead of a bicycle wheel, it is equipped with a washing machine drum where you put your dirty laundry in. The idea is pretty simple, put your dirty clothes in the drum,…

Samsung is working on a Smart Bike

Relevance: 94%      Posted on: June 17, 2014

One of the perks of being as big of a company as Samsung is the luxury to channel resources in other fields to further grow their business and create new jobs in the process. That’s exactly what Samsung is looking to do when they launched the Maestro Academy in Italy, and one of their projects involved a handcrafted and geeked-out bicycle called Smart Bike. At a distance the Samsung Smart Bike may come off as ordinary bicycle with a slightly bent top and bottom tubes. But its looks are rather deceiving, because at the core of its curved aluminum tubes…

The Dell Studio Hybrid has arrived

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: September 20, 2008

The Dell Studio Hybrid we discussed in July was actually announced together with the Inspiron Mini last Wednesday but didn't get as much attention as expected. When we saw the prototypes months ago, the design, color options and finish looked cool. However, the ones that I saw during the launch were a bit disappointing. The outer casing is basically just a glossy acrylic capsule which allows one unit to have the colors inter-changeable (although I think you only get one color per unit). The unit has a couple USB ports, a built-in WiFi, a slot-loading CD/DVD drive and a 3-in-1…

Relevance: 83%      Posted on: November 21, 2013

The 43rd Tokyo Motor Show is now in full swing and one of the many head-turners in this year’s event in the motorcycle department is the Kawasaki J Three-Wheeler EV which looks like a homage to the Tron Light Cycle. Kawasaki’s concept bike consists of three wheels, two on the front and a large one on the back. In “Comfort Mode”, the two wheels on the front are parted and the body is slightly elevated, resulting to an ATV-style trike. On “Sports Mode”, however, the Kawasaki J Three-Wheeler EV transforms into a super cool sports bike by lowering the body…

Relevance: 75%      Posted on: April 18, 2015

Mazda came out with new concepts which are displayed at an exhibit, but it's not a car or anything related to cars. The Japanese company made new designs for a bike and a sofa. These artworks are part of the "Mazda Design: The Car as Art" and are on display for public viewing in an exhibit in Milan, Italy. Both products were inspired by the company's KODO -- Soul of Motion design philosophy seen on their recent models with flowing lines that give off the look like it's on the move although stationary. In addition, Mazda defines it as a method of creating…

Relevance: 75%      Posted on: June 10, 2012

The tablet-with-keyboard-dock form factor is becoming popular and Samsung has one in the name of the Series 5 Hybrid tablet running Windows 8. Samsung put the tablet on display at their booth in Computex but placed it inside a glass (or thick, transparent polycarbonate) cage so we can really look much closer or take better pictures. Based on some limited info shared with us by folks at the booth, the Series 5 Hybrid tablet will most likely be running an Intel Cedar Trail processor (that's the latest Atom CPU that only uses 2 watts). There's a possibility they will also…

Hybrid AdSense Text + Link Ads Spotted

Relevance: 68%      Posted on: August 22, 2007

I believe I've read about this so-called hybrid AdSense ads before. The ads are your normal contextual text ad formats with a line of link ads at the bottom. Got a screen shot here on my blog a while ago. Top those familiar AdSense ads, you won't notice anything different with this one below: They just look like two ad blocks -- one regular text ads and another link ad at the bottom. Actually, it's a hybrid. Both ads appear from a single ad code. If you click on any of the link ads, the text ads will change and…
