Group Picture

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: April 30, 2005

Here's one photography tip I just learned. If you are taking group pictures and you can't fit the entire crowd with one single shot, try using a different object to represent them. In this case, the coffee cups were more than apt for a group shot. :) Oh, look! There's me on the far left! :D More pictures here.

MyPhone slips Rio Junior TV to its offering

Relevance: 38%      Posted on: November 2, 2014

As part of the company’s Halloween initiative, MyPhone released a simple banner showcasing all the existing smartphones under the Rio lineup. But this seemingly ordinary picture turns out to be a teaser for its upcoming device called the MyPhone Rio Junior TV. At the time of posting, little is known about the still-unannounced handset other than its cheap SRP which is pegged at Php1,899. Upon closer inspection of the picture, it seems that the Rio Junior TV shares the same screen size of its the Rio Junior which is right beside it on the Halloween campaign picture. Judging by its…

The case of Yema and MarketManila

Relevance: 36%      Posted on: November 19, 2005

Here's a clear case of content-napping from MarketManila.com, and Inq7.net is apparently involved in the fiasco. In the Philippine Daily Inquirer yesterday (page C4) and on their on-line website (both with a readership numbering in the millions on a local and global scale, compared with my modest base of 2-3,000 wonderful and loyal readers) an article by James Anthony R. Ceniza on Yema Balls features a stunning photograph of a yema sitting on an unwrapped pink cellophane wrapper. Long story short, some James Anthony R. Ceniza took the "yema" recipe and picture from MarketManila.com, submitted it to Inquirer's Family Recipe…

Relevance: 34%      Posted on: June 26, 2014

Google has just announced that they have a new initiative for developing markets called Android One - allowing manufacturers such as Micromax, Karbon & Spice to create stock Android phones that will get software updates. It will start in India first very soon, and possibly, it might catch up in the Philippines. With that said, we might no longer have to worry about software updates with affordable phones. Manufacturers can still, however, pre-install apps into the phone. Google has boasted one phone with dual SIM connectivity, an SD card slot and FM radio just for under $100. {Google IO}

Trend Micro warns users of malware-ridden Cat pictures

Relevance: 32%      Posted on: March 6, 2014

Attention cat-lovers out there, Trend Micro has reason to believe that hackers are using pictures of cute and furry feline to spread a type of ZBOT malware (TSPY_ZBOT.TFZAH) which has the ability to capture credentials and financial information. According to the company, the aforementioned malware is embedded in to the picture using a method called Steganography. The malware cleverly waits, undetected by the security software, for the user to login to any of the listed sites and then it steals the user’s information. [Image Source] This kind of malware is nothing new said the Japan-based software company on their blog…
