Earlier today, BlackBerry launched their newest flagship smartphone in the Philippines — the BlackBerry Z10. BlackBerry also announced that all 3 carriers (Globe, Smart, Sun) will be offering the handset on a BB plan.
Smart is now taking reservations for the Sony Xperia V starting today. This phone joins the ZTE T82 to become the second phone to be offered under the telco’s LTE plans.
Needless to say, Smart isn’t gonna let Globe just take all the attention come December 14. Smart has also added a reservation page on their website for the iPhone 5.
Just a few hours after Apple announced that the iPhone 5 will be released in the Philippines on December 14, Globe is already prepared to accept registration of interest or the iPhone 5.

Last night, Globe Telecom finally showed to members of the media the device they will use for their LTE service called Tattoo Black. They’ve also made speedtests showing bandwidths on up to 42Mbps on their network.
Globe Telecom has just announced that it will start accepting pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S3 on May 23, 2012 and will offer it on various postpaid plans.
Reports are coming in that Samsung Stores in Metro Manila are also accepting reservations for the Galaxy S3. These are unlocked/openline units but will be released later than the pre-orders for Smart and Globe (which will have a week or two of lead time).

This one is official — Globe is now accepting pre-orders registration of interest for the iPhone 4S starting tonight. The microsite is now up and running, according to a source from Globe (updated: Globe also announced the iPhone 4S will be released on December 16).
The pre-order page on Globe’s website may have been taken down but the promo page is still up and indicates only “100 units” are allocated for pre-order. Since we know it’s not official out yet, that 100 units on the counter looks like a placeholder number for now.
An anonymous source gave us this link of the pre-order page for the iPhone 4S from Globe Telecom. This could mean we’re really almost close to the launch of the iPhone 4S in the Philippines (but we already knew that from Globe’s CEO a couple days ago).
So Samsung has started accepting online reservations of the Galaxy Note earlier today. Samsung is only releasing 300 units for its first shipments (you can make the online pre-order here).
