Samsung Galaxy S2 gets a Jellybean clone

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: January 11, 2013

If you’re thinking that the device that we’re reporting right now is knock-off from some Chinese company who got a hold of Sammy’s Galaxy SII mold, well think again. This SGS2 clone is actually from the South Korean firm’s stables and it goes by the name of Samsung Galaxy SII Plus. So it seems like despite of the success that Samsung had with the SGSII, they still have a lot of unsold units which they decided to dust off and retail under a different name. The new, or we should say recycled handsets doesn’t really offer much of a difference

Galaxy Note 2 clone goes on sale in China

Relevance: 90%      Posted on: December 18, 2012

There are a lot of ways to prove a product’s popularity; the more popular ones are to look at the total unit sold and when Chinese manufacturers released a knock-off version of it. iPhones have always been a popular target for these clone phones makers, but because of the global success that Samsung is having with their flagship handsets, they too are experiencing the drawbacks of being popular. The recent addition to the Chinese clone maker’s portfolio is the 5-and-half-inch smartphone that looks like a Galaxy Note 2 (GT-8000), but is outfitted with a configuration typically found in mid-range smartphones.…

Relevance: 80%      Posted on: July 11, 2012

Samsung's recently launched flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, already has a clone and is being sold at an online retail store for about Php9,000 ($209). It can be quite tricky to spot the difference between the legit and the clone but after a close inspection the S3 clone reveals its inferior design. Check out the video comparison below: Apart from the looks, the HDC Galaxy S3 also has a lot of difference internally. The S3-clone's single core 1GHz MediaTek MT6575 processor (same chip as the Lenovo P700) is far cry to that of the legit SGS3's quad-core processor, although we…

Now that Samsung's premium tablet has been launched in the Philippines, I guess they've already completed their line-up. That's 6 tablets in all -- 5.0" (Galaxy S WiFi), 5.3" (Galaxy Note), 7.0" (Galaxy Tab P6200), 7.7" (Galaxy Tab P6800), 8.9" (Galaxy Tab P7300) and a 10.1" (Galaxy Tab P7500). That's a lot of tablets just for a single brand, huh? Of the whole set, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus seems to be the odd couple because they almost have the same features and functionality although one is obviously marketed as the premium model. So…
