Google Nexus 4 gets a $100 price cut

Relevance: 100%      Posted on: August 29, 2013

If you're still considering getting a Nexus 4 now might be a good time as the Google flagship receives a price cut and now starts at less than $200. Granted that you live in the US or know someone who lives there and can ship it for you, you can purchase an 8GB Nexus 4 at the Google Play Store for $199, while the 16GB variant costs $249. With the huge price drop, the Nexus 4 becomes a more affordable "pure Google" offering compared to the pricier Google Play editions of the LTE-capable Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. If…

New Google Nexus phone to have sub-Php4K price

Relevance: 92%      Posted on: April 18, 2014

It seems like Google is on a roll in introducing new devices for everyone. There's the upcoming Project Ara that will be available for $50, the newly-patented Google contact lens with built-in microcameras, and now reports are telling us that a new Google Nexus smartphone will be arriving with a price tag below $100. Since it's rumored to be really affordable ($100 converts to around the Php4,000 mark), don't expect that it will be at the same range as the Nexus 5 when it comes to specs. Instead, the company is gearing this new smartphone for the entry-level to midrange…

Google Nexus One Price and Launch Date

Relevance: 88%      Posted on: December 30, 2009

It's all official now. Google has sent out invitations to the January 5, 2010 launch date of the Nexus One Android phone. When it first leaked out, I wasn't too excited about it because of a couple of things -- that this isn't the first Google Android (the G1 was), that there are other similarly configured Android phones in the market (HTC Hero, Motorola Droid) and most especially that this isn't really manufactured by Google but instead, by HTC all the same. Still, the Google Nexus One is a looker with the promise of the better and sleeker Android 2.0…

Google Nexus Prime is very real; and made by Samsung

Relevance: 84%      Posted on: September 6, 2011

This little conversation about the Google Nexus Prime I had yesterday with a telco guy was actually made in passing. We were all talking about the iPhone 5 and the slew of tablets that was announced in IFA last week and the topic just popped up. I can't really remember the exact words but here's how it went (roughly): YugaTech: "I think the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is going to be a fierce challenger to the iPad. I believe it will even force Apple to make their own 7-inch iPad too." Telco guy: "You know what's even more cool? The Nexus
