Samsung Electronics Phils. has officially launched the Galaxy S3 in the Philippines last night. This was the chance for Samsung to finally reveal the local pricing of the handset — Php32,990 (16GB).
Over lunch this afternoon, I was able to get hold of an upcoming Android smartphone from Huawei. I also learned that the Huawei Honor U8860 will finally be released in the Philippines sometime next week with an expected retail price of under Php15k.

Here’s an update for those who were waiting for the official release of the of Samsung Galaxy Note in the Philippines. According to official sources, the Galaxy Note will have a sale on November 19, 2011 for the initial 300 units that were shipped to the Philippines.
So it’s finally out and official — the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been revealed and it’s powered by Samsung. The Galaxy Nexus is also the first handset to run Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

In a media launch this evening, Globe Telecom formally introduced their latest product under the Globe Tattoo line-up — the Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini and the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S2.
So it looks like we got the suggested retail price of the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S2. We got word from Samsung Philippines that the SRP of the handset will be pegged at Php29,990.
Several units of the Samsung Galaxy S2 have been spotted in a number of phone stores in Greenhills this week, ahead of the anticipated launch this month. Gray market price ranges from Php38,000 to Php40,000.
