The birth of ultrabooks marked the start of a new era in mobile computing. Under the watchful eyes of Intel and their set parameters for such machine, companies slug it out to meet or even exceed those standards while trying to differentiate their brainchild from the rest of the pack by adding their own personal [...]
Samsung Philippines launched this afternoon a new series of Android tablets and successor to the Galaxy Tab – the Galaxy Tab 2.
Earlier today, we posted a story on a “Newbie Guide to Solid State Drives (SSD)” and after checking out some stores, we’ve noticed that SSD prices have slightly been reduced since the last time we checked.
We reported earlier this week that we spotted Samsung’s two new Galaxy Tabs, both the 7-inch and the 10-inch versions. Looks like Samsung Mobile Philippines has confirmed the arrival of the Galaxy Tab 2 series yesterday.
This year is looking to be the year of the ultrabooks. The first half of 2012 saw close to a dozen ultrabooks being launched in the Philippines. The spread is so wide that we’re seeing prices somewhere from Php30k to Php120k.
Last night, Samsung Philippines launched their 2nd-generation ultrabooks with the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors. They also showcased a 15-inch Series 9 ultrabook and a 13-inch super-affordable Series 5 ultrabook (under Php30k).
Samsung Philippines set me up to an overnight stay at the Maxim’s Hotel last Monday to be the first one to get a closer look and enjoy their latest Smart LED TV. This 55-inch Samsung ES8000 is just one of three models of flagship LED TVs the Korean has put out for 2012.
Samsung very first tablet came out about 2 years ago. Since then, the Korean company has outed half a dozen other tablets with ranging sizes and form factors (from 5.0, 5.3 to 7.7, 8.9 & 10.1 inches). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is basically a refresh of the very first model. Check out our [...]

Asus Philippines is set to launch the Asus Zenbook (the UX21/UX31 ultrabook) tomorrow at El Nido, Palawan and we’ll be there to cover it. You’ve probably read our latest review of the Acer Aspire S3 here as well. But the question remains — who has the thinnest ultrabook in town?
Acer’s very own version of the ultrabook was revealed in the form of the Aspire S3 a couple of weeks ago. This review unit I have was actually won during their raffle at the event and I’ve been using it for over a week now. Check out our full review of the Acer Aspire S3 [...]

When Samsung launched their ultra-thin Series 9 laptop in the Philippines last week, they only showed the regular 13.3″ variant. I thought it’s such a waste they didn’t include a 11.6″ variant that would go head-to-head with the 11-inch Macbook Air.
This is the very first Neo laptop I’ve reviewed here so the Edge Z3265 gave a lasting impression about the Filipino company’s future in the PC-making business. Check out the review of the Neo Edge Z3265 after the jump.
Samsung Philippines previewed their newest 55-inch LED TV last October, the inch-thick Samsung B8000 Series 8. They sent me one to test out for a week and I’m curious how that internet connectivity feature works.
Two new smartphones from Samsung are coming to town soon — online reservations for the Samsung Omnia Pro B7320 qwerty phone and the Samsung Omnia 2 i8000 are up.
Samsung Philippines sent this LED TV over just this morning. I was actually drooling over it when I first saw the TV last April but it’s just beyond my budget at the moment so I’ll settle for a loaner at the meantime. See unboxed photos after the jump.
While we’re waiting for the Omnia HD to become available in the Philippines, Samsung has once again announced another upcoming Omnia smartphone. The Samsung i8000 Omnia II is the real successor to the Omnia series.
