The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is basically a refresh of the very first model. Check out our full review after the jump.

Apple iPhone 4S Review

Apple’s newest iteration of the iPhone was greeted with mixed reactions from the market. A lot has been said, both praises and disappointments, about what it should have been in the first place. Since the local launch of the iPhone 4S with Globe and Smart is just a couple of days away, let me share with you what I think of this phone. Check out our iPhone 4S review after the jump.

HTC Evo 3D Review

The HTC Evo 3D separates itself from the rest of the smartphone pack by including two 5MP rear cameras to produce stereoscopic 3D images and videos. Like the high-end LED TVs we’ve seen lately, the 3D rendering is either regarded as a gimmick or the next big thing in entertainment. Check out our full review of the HTC Evo 3D after the jump.

Nokia N9 Review

The Nokia N9 is the most interesting phone that came out of the Finnish company in years. Not only because it comes with totally different OS but also because it represents what Nokia could have become if it had done this strategy way earlier. Mede8er MED500X2 Media Player Review

We’ve had a good month or two using the media player from Mede8er, the MED500X2. It handily replaced all my other media players at home (Apple TV, HDX 1000 and Popcorn Hour) and not really missing them a lot as the MED500X2 basically does almost 99% of the job.

Smart WiFi Chronicles on GMANews.tv

I just found out about this story on the website of GMA News (www.gmanews.tv) which talks about my comsumerist blog, Smart Wifi Chronicles.

There were actually two stories published on the same day (June 13, 2006) which linked to the blog:

- Irate Smart Bro subscribers vent angst in cyberspace

- Smart: Facilities upgrade causing internet service woes

The first story heavily quoted posts from people submitting complaints on the blog. (I manually review each one and oftentimes edit them before publishing, usually due to text speak)

What surprised me though was that one of the articles quoted a Smart Public Affairs Executive saying:

Sought for comment, Ramon Isberto, head of Smart public affairs, told GMANews.TV that they were unaware of the complaints posted on the internet.

“We will look into it,” said Isberto, concurrently spokesperson of Smart’s parent company, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT).

That ain’t right. I know they already knew of that blog. Some of them even registered as a user in there. If my memory serves me right, that’s one of the reasons why they launched the Smart Bro Big Bro campaign.

So ok, short term memory loss?
